For that run, SingTel sang for me to the tune of 33.8k.  Those which I had profits, I sold at 3.95 to 3.98 and collected 20k. Those which I did not have profits, I kept and collected 13.8k in dividends. Yes, we may not see 4.30 again for a long time. But 3.90 to 4.00 is still within range of the Bull Army' s artillery. They are not called ANAL-yst for nothing. But you may wish to  know  that fund managers do read analysts' reports. After that they look at other data, charts, TA, and what have you... to make their  own decisions.  SingTel is a good stock. A solid blue chip company which is majority owned by the Government. Makes almost a billion  every quarter. if you think about it, not many companies in SGX can boast of this feat. Only the banks can churn out a billion every quarter. That' s why SingTel is the stock which carries the highest weightage in the STI index. SingTel and the 3 banks together account for more than 50% of the STI Index. Which is why when a strong foreign monkey goes LONG in the STI, they will HOOT SingTel and the 3 banks plus the Jardine Group of companies and this will cause the STI to rise. They whack these STI-component heavyweights when they are SHORT.  SingTel is a good company. Fund managers know that and almost all, if not all, have SingTel in their portfolios. They already know that SingTel is a good stock to accumulate. So when a string of broking houses issue BUY Calls, it provides a catalyst for funds to buy more. What more, they can collect 9.8 cts dividends per share. And they own tens of millions. For every 1 million shares they own,  they collect  $98000 in dividends. Now that weak holders are out and bargain hunters are in with buyers outnumbering sellers, there is considerably lesser downward  pressure on the price and more upward pressure. This will set the stage for the stock to recover to its pre-result level, ie. 3.78 and beyond. Have faith in SingTel and she will $ING for you... for you to Tel others about her.

x 0   x 1  Alert Admin	She found Day Low at 3.71 and then bounced to stabilize at 3.73 : 3.74. In the last 1 hr, she kept fighting to hold on to 3.74 but sellers pushed her back down. So what we saw in the price action was the price doing 3.73 : 3.74 one moment and edging up to 3.74 : 3.75 the next moment. And this happened for about an hour. Finally, the price is now stable at 3.74 : 3.75 and bears have since been unable to push the price back down to 3.73 : 3.74. So what next? Aggressive traders can queue at 3.74 to add LONGs. But at the same time, be vigilant to grab at 3.75 if other people starts to grab. Not so aggressive traders... wait for sellers at 3.75 to be taken out including new sellers who come in to sell when the price is at 3.75 : 3.76. Then queue at 3.75 to LONG but stay watchful of the number at 3.76 to grab if you have to. There is no free lunch in the stock market. Buy earlier when you think the coast is clear... more risk...but you get a better entry price. Or play it safe and wait longer till when the coast is even clearer but pay more for your phone cards.
