x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Yeah, I expected Arti price to run, wanted to lay my bets down.    I think there are a few factors holding back the price.    First the no of shares outstanding, 1.7 billion.    37 million shares done on Friday, there are sellers, who are they?    Spend this weekend trying to figure this out, the boardroom battles, the fight within the company? Nevertheless, this is a stock that needs to be watched.    For this kind of situation, with Fintech being flouted, for share price to double from 2 cents to 4 cents is possible within a short period of time.    Punting is definitely in for Arti.    Might just lay down some money on Arti next week.  However must be aware that Ching is not a thinking guy, he' s a doer, with a strong me-first mentality, don' t step on the banana, buy and sell quickly.  He' s not kind to shareholders, only to himself and he takes too many risks.  The banks will fight back tooth and nail for the payments biz, have you wondered why DBS is not collecting fees for some payments?    The money is in CASA, current accounts and savings deposits, that' s where the banks get cheap funding for their loans.    FX is a commoditised product, there is no more money to be made except for trading, and banks are discouraged by huge capital requirements under Basel to do proprietary trading.    It' s not going to be easy for Fintech to eat their lunch.    But a large chunk of the bank' s biz will go for sure, it' s a matter of time.  Next year?    Another 5 years?      sbscap      ( Date: 04-Nov-2017 07:50) Posted: Tig, good to have an open mind. I have no idea how many of these companies can be profitable. Many US startups can burn billions. Finally, if some local fintech firm is great, it will go listing in nasdaq or has temasek as shareholder.

Fintech companies are everywhere, i.e. very competitive, many work on cash burn basis, i.e. unprofitable. What they do is also too complicated for the layman. I have no idea how many of these companies can be profitable. Many US startups can burn billions. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Need to watch and see, best to get more details.  The payments landscape is changing very rapidly,  DBS for instance, have a free remittance service, the profit they make is from FX.    Another Fintech company is also taking the world by storm offering free remittance service, it' s in Biz times today.  And there' s blockchain to do treasury settlements.  Very soon, this biz will be snatched away from the banks.    It' ll be interesting to see how MC Payments fit into all this.    I think if it is a feasible solution, should be a good buy.    But do be careful, the devil is in the details.    We are really buying into a solution.    However, for short term punting, it' s always fun to make a little kopi money on the run.
