How will Loyz announcement of placement of shares to pare down debt and hence gearing and improve its financial position ? The unusually part of the placement is that it will be done at 0.26 near current trader price of 0.27. Usually placement are made at hefty discount to current traded price to make it attractive. | ||||

With CAPEX of US$120mil.... there is bound to be new wells, most likely within the Gulf of Thailand where they are producing now.

Good questions. Unless there are new fields coming into production, then I assumed similar level to last reported quarter. Also they had a one-year forward contract to sell oil which shohuld expired soon. Hope they can starting sell at market rate rather than that 20%-30% lower like last year. I think oil price probably stablised ard US$55 for 2017 until some major events take place.

They guided that their CAPEX for 2017 is US$120mil. This is way above their ops cashflow. Most will be funded by RCF, Perf offering proceeds and debts. Will they have enough cash beyond 2017 for their operations if they continue to spend at this level? |

Analysts will take some time to review the annual report before adjusting their recommendation. According to the report, it seems KrisEnergy has been selling oil at ave of about US$30+ for FY16. In last quarter, they managed to increase to US$39+ per barrel. With current oil price of US$54, they should be seeing significant improvement ? Hope they didn't lock in too much in advance at lower prices. Minimally above US$40 ? | ||||
