Normally buy installments.  Just a piece of advice. If any of your friends REALLY can' t sustain a retail shop, and there is no other way to turn it around or getting someone to take over. Stop paying rent. Start to negotiate with the landlord. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Depending on  what type of ownership the shops are registered under.  Most of them (the small players, pte ltd, sole proprietor types), the owners (directors) will be responsible for the loans if the companies go burst or cannnot pay........unless of course they declare bankrupt, but even then they still need to pay if they have source of income.  So you see, the banks, difficult to lose for these cases.    What they nee to worry are the Limited Companies, if burst, assets not enough to cover loan, tghey also LL lor...........example Oil & Gas Companies.  That is why the  loan to  these companies are a big worry now. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	sgd to weaken against usd..... no problem........with interest rate hike and the repatriation of US trillion dollars overseas companies' s fund............and the forex speculators..... its will be tough for the USD not to appreciates agains other currencies....... EMs and Safe Heavens' currencies to be harder hit, just behind in lines to Countries with huge debts (govt or private) in USD denominations.    The spectacular rise in USD exchange rates will help Trump to rebuilt the US infrastructure with cheap imports of raw materials.  This is all planned to fund the US infrastructural expenses....and to hasten the return of companies overseas profits/funds.........so ya, sgd will continued to weaken against the USD.....imho. famouspinky      ( Date: 15-Dec-2016 16:51) Posted: Sti from near a near technical rececession to a flying bird.
