Don worry too much sia need to protect it market capitalization to pacify bond holder, guess they start share buyback soon to push stock back to 11. By the way SIA might not wanna to delist sia eng, that is value destroying. Most likely it a sale to third party for their 77%stake at discount to weighted average share price, explained why both sia and siaeng dropped a lot due to uncertainty.

From a purely financial perspective, I did some calculations. based on 21.9% float, 3,867m market cap, and let' s just put a premium of 10% (which means privatising at $3.795, when it' s share price is $3.45 now), SIA will need 930m to privatise it. Basically noone wanna talk about stock till trump clear up his anti trade view. Longist and shortist all burnt badly, everyone out till bb reenter. Currently SIA selldown is more of hedging against any trump surprise, once clear sia would rebound to it book value as per norm. Check out oct ops report, it not so horrible to warrant 7% selldown from sep. But again market behave like that, even singtel take 10 % hit from sep so it just so sgx. If SIA eng got divested off to third party through GO, prepare to have early CNY celebration. 1000 SIA = 770 SIA ENG since both got similar amt of shares and SIA control 77%
