x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Based on its 2Q results, i can see that Vard is taking good and serious measures to address last year problems. 1. Secured 19 new contracts in 2Q alone. This will bring in good revenue for them in the future. 2. Expansion of skills set, diversification from soley oil and gas 3. Cash from operations became positive this Q compared to the whole of last year. They are begining to generate cash from its operations and reduce cash outlay due to decreased headcount, and shutting down under-utilised yards 4. Profit largely decrease due to the cost-cutting measures implemented, which we are seeing right now. 5. Revenue and attraction for its shipbuilding capabilities are on the reverse trend, with many projects such as ponant on the way for 2H2016. The fall from 2012 to 2015 has given Vard a good slap and a wake-up call. 6. Cash and cash equivilants on hand remain healthy, same as 2015 at 900. 7. Strong backing from the largest Shipbuilding company in Europe (its parent)

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Vard reported losses in the last quarter with costs booked for layoff and cleaning up Brazilian Niteroi yard for good together with provisions for REM Offshore contract cancellation. I think most of the bad news are out and accounted for in the quarter result. This quarter result could be a turnpoint for the company going forward.. The management is steering the company out of the oil storm, transforming itself into a multi capability Marine Co. Not just servicing O& G sectors, they are entering into the new market such as Cruise vessels, Fishery, Treatment Barge and among others. Indeed they have managed to strike 19 vessels contracts total more than 6.2 Billion Kroners in Q2 alone. Total order intake for 1H 2016 is a huge 6.8 Billion Kroner or almost doble the whole of 2015! The management is optimistic to convert another 2 more Cruise ships in Q3 with many other projects still under discussion. Can see good things and hear more good news going forward.. Just want to reiterate that Vard, lead by strong decisive mgtm and a supportive parent company, is probably one of the very few marine companies that will turn around successfully and finally emerge much much stronger inspite of the current challenging market. Current NAV is 0.49c. Current Price 0.16c. Will rate it very good investment for mid to long term. Not recommended for contra play and pls DYOD. Vested much. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Must give credit to this mgmt for their honesty unlike others who keeps painting nice picture when reality is bad.  When they announced the REM cancellation, they already hint on the impact.  Really ended up low EBIT and losses.  So next time reading their announcement carefully helps.  Can' t say the same for some others coy who keeps giving false hope. The rest of the people as you mentioned may know yet " do not know" .
