Different views reflecting different risk appetite and handling method, that's all. If u want to risk off its ur choice. For those believing in the news as positive will continue to invest on this counter. Whether our belief pay off, time will tell.
But Whether this counter is considered expensive is not just looking at the numerical figure. U need to do ur own calculation or look up the investment website to compare against other peer counter. If other peer counter is more expensive than market average and still survive, I don't see why this counter which is undervalued is consider expensive. U can check Barrick gold and jufdge whether they r more expensive than cnmc. Anyway Next week will have another announcement so we will know the result. |

anyone knows the NAV of cnmc? anyway...BBs control most top vol counters...they can push or pull in sudden moves... unless u watch the market very closely, its better to be cautious and take the money when u have it. |

The comment is made before the sudden drop and stop work order..
If the comment is made after that- i could be eating roti prata now.. Best to now avoid this until they can resume work.. Every stop work day is a loss to the company |

Having said that this is one of my favourite counter until it strangely move south although gold price still good..i made 4 to 5 rounds from this from 0.25 ...all the way to 0.59..
The last round i loss ar ..when i see its droppin back to 0.5 , i bought back too early at 0.53... just a felling it doesnt feels right ..cutloss at 0.5... loss 3k.. but still better than hold...true enough-news of stop work come out and now even lower just 0.42 half..but still made more than that on this... I think the news of stop work must have been known earlier..else the share will not drop as such pace..if u believe in this company and that its just temporary then can reenter once its oversold... Now i m staying out until it mines can continue ...as stop work is no joke...it means no production and workers can go home to sit elephants... |

Well my previous target price is assuming that the gold price continue to be good/up and their mine churning same production of gold...
But with new info that the mine already stop work and also gold price now likely 1300+ ... at current level is already quite a high price. Hence better be cautious..until more positive news come eg uplift of stop work order could take months |

but u must admit there are more trader than value investor......at first sight if there is a opportunity they will take it.....short or push the price. If operation stop for too long......definitely there will be affected in price.....
At this period....any news come out are sensitive.

I totally concur with SoSoSo and Dragonboy comments. That explains why the initial drop recover fairly substantial and quite pleased it closed at 42.5 after touching 45, which has built quite a strong support for any surge up next week. The last one hour trade sell down amounting to merely 3m of those whom do not intend to hold overnight positions as well as those whom has to get out /proft takers. This news which was not communicated clearly to the public and to those insiders have taken an opportunity to short sell and subsequently buy back from those whom are aware that this is merely an SOP protocol for CNMC to achieve its unlimited mining status and not a permanent stop order. Is there an agenda like what I said whether is a cheaper way of inviting the foreign participants in this rare gem counter as a form of future rewards (buy cheap and sell high later)... well i do not know but I am happy that those whom bought at the initial opening to 40 have been celebrating good drinks and spa ysterday if they have taken profits and those whom have not are confident that it will fly high and higher once the market digested this news which has created much confusion. Therefore I always believe enagaging a top notch IR or PR for a listed company is essential no matter how expensive. Happy weekend! :) |

I posted to buy several times today... As I have shared previously, below a certain price based on your thinking of the value of Sokor, you are buying Pulai for free.. The stop work order is only temporary. Those of you who read the announcement will know that this is so.. CNMC cannot lie if the stop work order is expected to be permanent. The independent directors will get into trouble if there is lie... Even if CNMC forego one month of production or one quarter of production or even one year... The value of the mine will not be impaired... Good luck to those who managed to enter at or around 40 cents. |
