How much can one earn from stocks? The stocks can be surging like nobody's business, but without noticing the change in wind direction, without the wits and guts to venture and click buy, one would see the chance floating away.
If billion $ worth of contracts are not worth the mention, I believe the market would have collapsed long ago, because I don't see many companies have billion $ worth of contract. I also believe the news media wouldn't have market news anymore, cus they are not worth as much of our attention as passenger robbing taxi of $5, and lost his iPhone instead.

Your razor thin profits, I suppose is not the actual profit at the end of project, right?
Many engineering company's sales Managers normally craft a v detail costing sheet before submission of tenders, and one impt thing to do is to exaggerate the costs and depict the worst-case scenario, so that any negative impact event along the way would have be expected. In many situations, the project costs hardly reach the levels as projected in the costing sheets, and profit margins will be much better off than the razor thins profits initially "expected".

Based on last 5 yrs reports, engineering procurement project contract awards profit margin is razor thin single digit couple with loss time offshore weather and OSV delay issues and taxes there will be no actual or material gain for the company in the foreseeable future | ||

Nowadays bidding for contracts are fierce. Some resort to zero margin just to keep their business on-going. This $300 mio win is cumulative and many would have known in advance. I would not place any significance until they report better financial results and plug the bleed. |

So this contract win of $300M is more than Ezra' s total market cap of $223M. The last time px went up till 9c before trading halted. If tmor make can make 15% gain can reach back to 9c which is quite possible. Shortist start vomiting their gain. Hiak Hiak. |
