That's why it is not an easy decision to jump in even if the price is attractive and likely surge upon confirmation of the award. The reverse is just the opposite and potentially very damaging.

The main challenge lies in the partners being asked to revert with lower cost. May take a while to negotiate between EMAS AMC consortium with effectively 3 partners to sort out. | ||||

Maybe the market doesn' t view an LOI as concrete enough? That being said ... the stock price had been pretty well supported over the past few days. Let' s hope for a slow climb upwards!

There must be some projects on the horizon otherwise EMAS-CHIYODA JV would not have formed. Just wait for the official announcements. |

Singapore A REBOUND in oil prices this year from 12-year lows is in danger of coming to a crashing halt, as the main engine of global demand growth for the past several years starts to sputter amid signs of a gasoline glut. |

OPEC is a joke and both Saudi and Russia now threatening to boost production too ...
Kuwait Emerging From Strike With Plans to Have Record Oil Output By Anthony Dipaola - 25 Apr 2016, 10:21:49 PM Kuwait plans to boost oil production to more than 3 million barrels a day within months, doubling output from where it stood during last week?s oil-worker strike. Output will climb to 3.15 million barrels a day by June, Haitham Al-Ghais, market research manager at government-owned Kuwait Petroleum Corp., said Monday in an interview in Abu Dhabi. That would be the OPEC member?s highest level of production ever, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. A three-day strike by Kuwaiti oil workers sent crude production tumbling to 1.5 million barrels a day last week. The Oil & Petrochemical Industries Workers Confederation agreed to end the walkout after the government refused to negotiate while labor was off the job. Kuwait produced 3 million barrels a day before the strike, data compiled by Bloomberg show, making it the fourth-largest member of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. ?The strike is now done and production is back to normal,? Al-Ghais said. ?We should reach our target of 3.15 million barrels in June,? he said, referring to both output and production capacity. Kuwait is targeting capacity of 4 million barrels a day by 2020, including 350,000 barrels a day from oil fields it shares with Saudi Arabia, he said. |

Yes you have a valid point  about 1/4 of the value. I have absolutely no idea how the companies usually work out their partnerships  or JV ... i always feel that us as small time investors/traders will never know the full picture or details. For me, i would be buying Ezra because of its currently low valuation, hoping that any positive oil related news will cause a price increase. Trading based on hear say or rumors will not work very well for this counter as I think there are simply too many rumors! Haha

DBS Driller  Saudi Aramco ready to award US$2bn in contracts  Analyst Janice Chua  +65 6682 3692  [email protected] Pei Hwa Ho  +65 6682 3714  [email protected] Suvro Sarkar  +65 6682 3720  [email protected]  Saudi Aramco ready to award US$2bn in contracts      Emas-L& T consortium rumoured to be a key beneficiary. Saudi Aramco has reportedly issued letters of intent (LOI) to three of its long-term agreement (LTA) contractors for offshore contracts worth up to US$2bn, although the actual signing could take up to two months more. According to  Upstream, sources have said that the Emas-Larsen & Toubro consortium is poised to take the largest job &ndash a US$1.5bn contract involving wellhead topsides and tie-in platforms, as well as substantial subsea pipeline and cable-lay work. Saipem and McDermott are believed to be the other two contractors that have been issued LOIs.  DBS&rsquo s View: This is obviously positive for Ezra if the contract materialises, as it would boost the company&rsquo s subsea orderbook and revenue visibility. However, Saudi Aramco has asked its LTA contractors for revised proposals with lower costs, hence margins on these projects may be lower.  Top stories  Sete Brasil shareholders approve plan to file for creditor protection. The vote was possible after a key shareholder with an 18% interest in the rig lessor &ndash pension fund Petros &ndash agreed to back the plan after opposing it for months. The move could be a means of forcing Petrobras, who is also a minority stakeholder, to settle on more favourable terms on the charter of the rigs under construction.  DBS&rsquo s View: The market should not be entirely surprised as the proposal had surfaced earlier in January. However, it is premature to evaluate the impact on the Singapore rigbuilders without details of the restructuring plan.  We are comforted by the fact that Singapore rigbuilders have collected substantial payments from Sete and some provisions were made in 4Q15.  Brent up 4.7% to close at US$45.11 last week on strong market sentiment.  Brent prices rallied last week on data showing that US crude inventories rose less than expected, production outages in Kuwait, Nigeria and Venezuela, and strong crude imports to China. The market brushed off the lack of a production freeze deal over the previous weekend, and hints of higher output from producers.  DBS&rsquo s View: Fundamentals remain challenging as producers continue to pursue market share, and record-high inventory levels remains an overhang. We are likely to see near term oil price pullbacks and volatility.  Russia threatens to increase output.  Days after the Doha talks ended in failure to agree on a production freeze, Russia has stepped up the rhetoric, with Energy Minister Alexander Novak saying that it plans to ramp up crude output by 100kbpd to 10.81mmbpd in 2016. He also said that Russia could &ldquo in theory&rdquo raise production to 12mmbpd or even 13mmbpd.  DBS&rsquo s View: The hostile Russian tone speaks of the tension that is lingering after the failed output agreement, where Saudi Arabia emphasised its unwillingness to relinquish market share. If other countries follow in Russia&rsquo s footsteps and position for retaliatory action (i.e. boosting output), oil prices could take a hit. |

Hahaha! Honestly, i almost bought into the idea before reading your last line.
I got a question for you. According to the articles EMAS will participate in the Hasbah project together with L&T from India. While EMAS-CHIYODA (subsea) JV would just be a 1 of the 4 business segments for EMAS. How would this JV be affected directly/ indirectly by the Hasbah job? *correct me if i misunderstand anything 😊

Yea  I guess you' re right. There' s been so many rumors about this stock, no one knows which one is true which is fake. The only sure thing for this stock to go up is when oil rebounds. Fingers crossed this oil glut will end soon!
