Ezra: Chiyoda seals 50% stake buy in Emas AMC. Japanese oilfield services contracting firm Chiyoda Corporation has sealed the acquisition of a 50% stake in Ezra Holdings' subsea business unit Emas AMC. The acquisition, pegged at US$180m under a binding MOU signed between Chiyoda and Ezra, saw the former forking out US$150m in cash consideration paid to the latter in addition to pumping in US$30m into the newly-formed 50:50 JV, Emas Chiyoda Subsea. Am only keen to long after third wave of consolidation to 096.. be careful if long and be disciplined on CL once wrong trend.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	What has changed since Ezra hit a low below $0.05 and then powered to $0.13 ? Mainly 2 factors - 1. Crude prices recovered from low of US$26 to US$41 2. Ezra given 6 months grace till Sep for meeting MTP 3. Lee family selling properties which I think is more of a personal investment decision than anything to do with the company or the share price. What has happened or announced recently as the price started dropping : 1. Redemption of the US$95m bonds expiring with loans by pledging all the shares of Triyards and EMAS Offshore held by Ezra and Lees making sure their shareholdings not dropping below 20% 2. Crude prices dripping to US$36.66, yet to be factored in Friday closing price 3. EGM with Bond Holders in Apr 13 to strike a new interest paying arrangement 4. Completion of the 50-50 JV with Chiyoda and expecting to receive cash injection. What is still missing is any updates on its business - winning or losing deals and if they are having any bad debts, etc. Apparently, the latest developments have no positive impact. Guess the market will await the next set of quarterly result which may be released around Apr 8. It should continue from last quarter to report a loss but question is how much. Then the result of the EGM with Bond Holders on Apr 13. On Apr 17, OPEC will meet with market not holding their breath for any positive result given last 2 days talks by Iran, Saudi prince and today's announcement of Russia hitting record output for Mar. Guess for investors playing safe, best to watch these 2 events unfolding. Will Ezra return to $0.05 during this period, unlikely as its biggest issue of debt seems to be better under control and less pressing.... for the moment. $0.05 is effectively pricing in bankruptcy risk for Ezra.

The way saudi said on last friday is very obvious that they want oil price drop and also russia increase production and never. Just my view only. U can judge your own. I am expecting oil price to drop to usd30 in april. DWTI jump 15% on friday.
