Privatization is unlikely because this is not the way to unlock value since NAV is about 25% higher than current price.
REITs is most likely to finance recent acquisition of US properties which has yet to be finalized sometime in April. Read from The Edge recent issue (March 23): Singapore?s real estate investment trust market is set to consolidate as smaller vehicles merge to cope with rising regulatory costs, according to Cambridge Industrial Trust. ?The wave of consolidation for Singapore REITs is about to begin,? Philip Levinson, chief executive officer at Singa- pore-listed Cambridge Industrial, said. The trust has a mar- ket capitalisation of $730.5 million and focuses on industrial real estate assets. The city-state?s monetary regulator has tightened rules that could raise costs and lower revenues for REITs, making mergers between such trusts the most viable option for them to thrive, Levinson said. Morgan Stanley last year said consolidation in the Singapore REIT market was ?unavoidable and necessary? to develop sufficient scale and stock liquidity for individual REITs to effectively compete on a global scale. In view of consolidation in the REITs scene will the major stock holder likely to push out a GLP Reits ? Two days ago the counter turned active as major players started to buy but today profit taking. I think something is brewing but unlikely to be privatization but more likely Reits. Shareholders likely to be rewarded with Reits ? Then mother share share price drift down just like Capitaland previously with emergence of CMA but subsequently the latter got privatize and Capitaland price went up but not its high price days cause there is CapitalMall trust

wow, if true, press down from above $3, collect from 1.595... and return shareholders money around their IPO price... during this time pay some dividends, but use " free" money to build one of the world' s biggest high-tech warehousing, real estate and reit giant... now mind is really blown... if my train of thoughts is on track
