x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Not only FIFA, brother but for a lot of us the BPL is probably the most telling over-priced football export from the UK.  Overseas subscribers are having to keep paying ever increasingly exorbitant prices for BPL packages which, if one analyses carefully, is the $$$ that ends up feeding the ridiculously unsustainable transfers (n worse, the massively excessive bites by avaricious agents) n grossly unjustifiable high wages of over-hyped footballers.  What I fear most is that, with live-watching fans in the UK, like those from Liverpool, increasingly  demonstrating  payer power (not player power) to force club owners not only to reverse course but also apologise, the burden will  only fall more n more  on suckers like us to dig deeper n deeper into our pockets  to prop up the  BPL.  When MPs here raised the concern (in conjunction with the last world cup, if I recall correctly) abt  the ever-increasing px of football, the  no-brainer answer from the top was that as px takers, we ain' t got much option.  Or do we not indeed?    Ask the en-mass walking-out Liverpool fans (recall that 77-minute show of unified fan power?) n we shd be enlightened  that even as overseas BPL tv subscribers, we have the ability to say enough is enough.  For this reason, I' ve persistently refused to subscribe  to Stel for its  BPL tv package n have discouraged my friends from doing so too.  So, some food for thought for others too .....
