21 Jan 2015 News Releases 1. To help needy families cope with the fare adjustment, the Government will draw down $7.5 million from the Public Transport Fund to fund 250,000 Public Transport Vouchers.
2. Similar to last year, each Public Transport Voucher is worth $30 and can be used to purchase or top up fare cards, or buy monthly concession passes. The Public Transport Vouchers will be distributed throughout the year. 3. Application for Public Transport Vouchers will start from 16 March 2015. Households can make enquiries or applications at their local community centres/clubs. The People&rsquo s Association will work with the Citizens' Consultative Committees (CCCs) to help send out the vouchers from mid-April. 4. Upon successful application, each household will receive one Public Transport Voucher. However, the CCCs may exercise discretion to subsequently provide additional Public Transport Vouchers to households whom they deem need more help. 5. Residents can approach their grassroots leaders or make enquiries at their local community centres/clubs. Ministry of Transport People&rsquo s Association 21 January 2015

" The $5.4 million fine will go to the Public Transport Fund, which pays for transport vouchers to help needy families." So in the end that $5.4M will go back partially to SMRT!

remember analyst expectation of the fine to be $10M? It is less than 10M though is the highest... already factor in.. give it some room for reaction and that is it |

Whenever an ascending and converging triangle is forming in stock price over a period of time, it tells us something is brewing, and only insiders will know what is going on. As outsiders we always hunt for these marks and traces and then take a gamble to jump in to buy long, never mind what the heck is brewing. But bo bao jiak. Sometimes the price just crashes precipitously. In this case, those who have gone in at 1.20 got it right.
