Guys, I will be on vacation from Sat, 13 June to Sat, 20 June. Going to JB and Penang. Taking train from Woodlands to JB. Jalan Jalan there from Sat to Mon. Then on Tue morn, fly to Penang. Will spend Tue nite to Fri nite at Penang. Sat morn fly back to Home Sweet Home. Dont ask me why so many nights here and so many nights there or why fly not walk etc etc. Coz I dunno. I am only a follower. Wifey is planner, leader, guide, etc. Becoz I dont like to do the work for Free & Easy and I am happy to let others do it, I must know my place and know when to be led by others and when to be a supportive and good follower.  So during my absence, you guys please help to man the fort here. Day time I definitely wont be checking in here becoz I am not used to using a phone to read or write postings. Very small font and phone screen so small plus I have old flower eyes some more. When I come here, I always do it with a computer. More comfy and easier on my eyes. At night whether I check in will depend on  how tired I am and whether got mood or not also. Just like I have always been able to do it, I will probably drop in here at least to read what you guys talk about. My last vacation was in Dec when I was in Hamburg, Amsterdam and London. You guys will remember I posted photos of souvenirs like London bus, London phone booth, Mini Clubman and Big Ben for you all to enjoy.  But this time round it is just JB and Penang. So probably not many photos of interesting stuffs to share with you all. .    |

Bear market is not here yet. But SingTel already in bear market territory having dropped 20% from ATH. But this is not a mean grizzly bear who will maul you. This is a teddy bear looking for a hug. Hug it and hold on to it and you will be rewarded in Nov and Dec and even more into Year 2027.

Trading is tough.  Trading for a living where one relies entirely on profitable trades to put food on the table is a tough way to live. Unless you have at least a 2m-strong army where you can use 1m to build a dividend portfolio and another 1m to buy a good stock when the price is right and to keep averaging down when there is price weakness. Which is why I am glad we have CPF Life. From the time I retired at age 56 to this June when I turned 65, I have been relying on trading income to pay the bills. When there wasnt, bills were paid with trading capital. But starting June 2026, I no longer rely on trading income to pay the bills. CPF Life pays all my bills. And I still have savings from it month after month. Now that CPF Life provides for my living expenses, trading/investing becomes a little easier.  Easier in that if I am stuck, I can hold for as long as it takes to unstuck myself. I dont need to force sell at a loss to raise funds to pay my bills.  Plus the savings from my monthly payout can be used to mount Search & Rescue missions for my stuck positions. This is what it means to have a safety net. The stronger and bigger your safety net, the better and more comfy your retirement will be. So if you are approaching 55 or 65, my suggestion to you is to max out your ERS. Plus top up your RA every year to the new revised ERS to maximize the compounding effect of the 4% interest. That way, when you turn 65, your payout will be as high as the scheme allows. You want that. And you will have that if you top up your RA to the ERS and max it out year after year from 56 to 65. This will be one decision you wont regret. And you will enjoy the fruits of your decision for a lifetime. When you retire, what you want is complete peace of mind and relaxation. You want to Bian Hwan leow. Everyday can Kheow Kha.

For now, US Futures seems to agree with Tom Lee that this is not the start of a broader market correction. For now, that is. The day is still young. From now till 9.30pm when Wall Street opens is another 10 hrs for bulls and bears to make up their mind which way to go. ![]()

not a matter of listening or not listening. If his ' prediction' is 10 out of 10 times correct and right on spot, everyone treats him like a god.. If he gets 0 out of 10, we say might as well treat him like a dog?

Funny leh. In a recent video where Tom Lee was interviewed by CNBC on Friday evening, he said he doesn' t think this selldown is the start of a broader market correction and that some time later this year, we will see a drawdown which feels more like a bear market. Momentum is a powerful force in the stock market. Imagine a narrow corridor where waves after waves of people are walking shoulder to shoulder in the same direction. Can you walk against those waves of people in the opposite direction? You will end up being pushed backwards by the momentum. Now that people think the market is like a house on fire and everyone is heading for the exit, sentiments have turned from previously cautiously bullish to now bearish. The outward momentum has started. How to now tell people the fire alarm was a false alarm and that there is in fact no fire and to expect people to U-Turn and become bullish again to chase stocks to bid up prices ?  Hearing continues on Monday. By the end of next week, we will get a clearer picture.  |

The correction has started.  And this is just the beginning. Things must become worse before they can get better. So more downside ahead is expected. If you are holding a good stock, continue to hold. Add more on price weakness if you can. Just remember not to buy on good news and sell on bad news. That' s the same as BUY HIGH SELL LOW. Lidat how to make money?  Dont panic sell. Its not the end of the world. Markets rise and markets fall. That' s how the market normally moves. The one who will emerge from the ashes and still standing is the one who can hold on to his positions and weather thru the storm till it subsides. The one who cannot take the emotional pain anymore and sell will live to regret it if he couldnt bring himself to buyback his positions. Buying back one' s positions is easy to say on paper but very difficult to execute. Which is why some Youtubers said " Sell first when prices are higher and buyback when prices are lower is a dangerous game" . Becoz fear of buying back too early will stop you from doing so. Then one day your stock suddenly rebound and goes higher. Initially, you wouldnt know that your stock has rebounded. So you tell yourself to wait for the stock to come back down. But your stock keeps climbing higher and higher. And before you know it, your stock has gone higher than the price you sold.    And you end up not buying back at all and miss the boat. That' s why " sell first and buyback lower is a dangerous game" . I have been there myself. Yes, ended up missing the boat. Damn TWEE. Dont let this happen to you. If you are holding a good stock, buy more on price weakness if you can.  |

![]() ![]() ![]() The long awaited correction has started. Last nite, the shit hits the fan. Everybody opened their umbrellas and headed straight for the door. There was pushing and shoving. Everybody wants out. It was chaotic. A case of each man for himself. This is just the beginning. If we are looking at a 10% correction, Dow will fall 5100 pts and Nasdaq will fall 3100 pts. If 15% or 20%, even more. More downside to come. Brace for impact.  |
