If you look at the past earning reports, Riverstone has been consistently giving profits..In fact dividends increased instead of decrease..This despite share price moving in opposite direction punishing is unjustified. - no reasons for poor share performance while earnings increased. Now the rise is only to return to its normal price..Not only for the dividends.

Tempting to sell right? Why don't sell now got profits to take? In the first place why sell if you want the dividends? Sell now and buy back ex date right? Are you sure? What if the one whom you sell to don't want to sell back to you because he wants to keep for the 12 cents? So you sell now for the 2 cents and lose the 12 cents?

You never fail me for giving a balanced view. Your caution in RS and Top Glove were well received.

Your comparison of DBS charts and Glove charts showed us we have a big gap to close. A very encouraging prospect indeed.

Bro investor,

Your method would have worked very well had you traded DBS instead of Glove stocks with the same amount of capital and within the same time period.
Let' s say we take it as START DATE is JAN 2021 till today.
Using the same amount of capital and using the same method like you did, ie. BUY AND AVERAGE UP/DOWN, had you picked DBS or any of the other
2 banks to do exactly the same thing as what you did with Glove stocks, you would have done very very well by now.

So likewise, between now and Dec 2022, whether you will do very well or will kena Orh Bark Khark will depend on whether you pick the right stock
to do BUY & AVERAGE UP/DOWN. And for me, it is not a good idea to pick Glove stocks to do this.

PS:

I understand what is lost is lost. I cannot expect the price of shares I bought to return to its previous levels.

This is why I am diversifying to other counters. Taking a bigger position in Top Glove and taking up a small position in Raffles Medical.

Top Glove has gone down further but it is bottoming. I bought more.
Riverstone is going fine. Moving up because of the good dividents coming. The dividents alone is worth holding the shares.

Recently I have also added Raffles Medical for long time
SIA is fine. Won' t go anywhere now but likely to go up in the months ahead

Gloves are bottoming. Don' t know when it will trend up. I think they will.

Two years ago at the beginning of pandemic I bought RMG shares around 0.76.

It was illiquid and I did not dare to buy more even though I saw RMG shareholders bought as well.

When RMG rose to $1.17, I took some profits and stopped selling when it rose higher breaking 1.21 and higher and higher.

Decided to sell all the rest at $1.38

So when this time it fell below my average sold price of 1.32, I began to acculumate at $1.27
Unfortunately the price broke down. I decided to hold.

Now I am accumulating again at $1.16 and $1.15 after seeing major shareholders buying back.

My belief is you have to be patient. If the major shareholders are buying in a big way, they give us confidence of the company' s future prospects.

Buying shares is not gambling. I want to correct someone who said doctors are big gamblers. They have the capacity to accumulate. Stock market is unpredictable. If you follow and gamble big, you may lose as the share price can go even lower. You need to have the capacity to hold.

it is the other way round. They bought low at 0.783 and sell down. This is contra profit.

I don't think anyone wants to buy now with such poor sentiments. We all waiting someone to buy but none of us wants to buy. Today short sellers had to add in the dividends to its cost. So short sell at 0.79 is equivalent to short sell at 0.67

The buying before results announced was up to 0.76. With the 12 cents dividends, the bullish will be looking at 0.88

So I caught RS bottom at 0.61 - no price? No cheers.

Now I sold at 0.80 - smart right?

Then I am buying more Top Glove.

So I am catching two bottoms and make profits.

Yday' s closing was 0.735.
Add the 12 cts dividend is 0.855.
She traded to a High of 0.81.
Now 0.78 : 0.785.
The smart ones will sell into this bounce especially if she can climb to 0.855.
The naive ones will hold till XD to collect dividends and hope to still sell at 0.81 to 0.855 or higher after XD.
