Probs just panic selling / profit taking. RS exceeded expectations of the brokerage analysts by so much in Q2. Gonna hold on for new TP.

Hi,
The RM 4 cents dividend is interim. Rirverstoen gave out RM5.85 cents in June.
Expect final div for FY20 to be even better than the RM5.85 cents.
Overall, not too bad. I amnot complaining.

| RIVERSTONE'S 1H results are definitely above everyone's expectations. And their 2H will be explosive! Based on my calculations, 2H Net Profit will be MYR 300M to 400M.
Effectively, from July 2020, RIVERSTONE's Average Selling Prices are double (2X) pre Covid19 ASPs (Jan & Feb). All that revenue increase is pure profit !! Of course, we still need to less out corporate income tax of 24%.

Definately surpassing analysts' expectation for Q2! Well managed company with RM273m net cash and no debt.
For full year expectation last time from 3 firms: DBS  RM360m,  UOB  RM 355m, CIMB  RM370m.  Waiting for a TP upgrade given Q2 is 25+% higher than expectation.  :)

i think the Q2 results in overall pretty much exceeded CIMB' s forecast
CIMB forecasted a 370m PAT at year end,
Doing a rather straightforward backward calculation
so we conservatively forecast a 5% m-o-m increase in selling price, assuming cost also increase but at a slower rate-->
Q1: 46.6m
Q2: 91m
Q3: 112m (from Q2 Revenue 347/3 = (115*1.05 -> monthly 5% inc of selling price = 127m July, 134m Aug, 140m Sept) = 400 mil Q3 revenue (assuming spot order remain the same), Cost assuming increase in line with revenue, but not as much -->   so we will take 28% (as compared to 26% of Q2 PAT, arising from 91 PAT /347 revenue = 26%)
Q4: 132m (Q3 400m revenue /3 * 5 % increase in selling price every month, we get Q4 revenue of 445mil), PAT margin --> slightly increase to 30% for Q4
we roughly reach a FY2020F PAT of 382m
But do note that my simple computation above did not factor in any of the:
- spot orders (which will again increase the PAT significantly, based on what the others are saying, spot price per carton are 3x of normal orders.
- upside of m-o-m increase of > 5%
DBS forecasted a PAT of 360m in to arrive at their target price of $3.90 |

yes.. many ppl seems to have an impression that any medical counter should beat their estimates by miles..
if so then these houses no need give report liao la.. no credibility left already.
no worries, medical bull is still on track so even if it gaps down it will recover quickly. upcoming medtecs and ug results will be the next big huat !
