Oceanus was notified on 2 Aug and again on 5 Aug of " substantial and abnormal" death of abalones at its China farms within a very short span of time.

The  statement did not link the reports of abalone deaths with Mr Wu's departure except to say they had happened at around the same time. The deaths started the day after the AGM when Mr Wu lost his Board seat.

The Board is carrying out all necessary investigations to look into the situation.

Better than expected

NOL?s 1H13 core net loss of US$162m came inat 37% of our full-year loss forecast of US$427m,as wehad underestimated the fruits of NOL?s cost-savinginitiatives. Although2Q13 rates fell 11.5% yoy, the8.9% yoy fall in unit costs significantly cushioned the impact.

I think you are confusing two different things? One is amount of orders year to date, the other is current order book value (the orders inside might have been put in before this year). Not too sure also, just came to my mind. Please correct if wrong, thanks
