Fulfilment of Conditions Precedent in Settlement with Sete BrasilSingapore, February 6, 2020:  Sembcorp Marine Ltd (the &ldquo Company&rdquo and together with its subsidiaries, the &ldquo Group&rdquo ) refers to its announcement of 7 October 2019 in relation to the settlement reached with various subsidiaries of Sete Brasil (the &ldquo Sete Group&rdquo ). The settlement agreement for all contracts with the Sete Group is subject to certain conditions precedent being fulfilled. The Company wishes to inform that all conditions precedent have been fulfilled and the settlement agreement is now effective. The Group will also terminate its arbitration proceedings against the Sete Group as part of the settlement agreement. The Group is now in discussions with a potential purchaser for the completion of 2 drillships and will make the necessary announcement should such discussions progress to new orders for the Group. With rig' s dayrate and utilisation rate improving by the month, a deal for the 6 Setes drillships on hand is immiment is the coming months.

Schottel Hybrid Drive used for ' World&rsquo s First' LNG Hybrid Tug built by SembmarineSingapore-based Sembcorp Marine chose Schottel&rsquo s azimuthal hybrid drive system SYDRIVE-E to power the world&rsquo s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) hybrid tug.  With this first in a series of 12 vessels, Sembcorp Marine will build the world&rsquo s first hybrid LNG-fueled tug fleet that will replace its existing diesel-powered tugs. The vessel is designed by LMG Marin, a wholly owned Sembcorp Marine subsidiary, and a leading naval architecture design house in Bergen, Norway, which provides energy efficient solutions. The tug&rsquo s future operation profile in the harbors of Singapore will demand highly variable power ranges. Depending on the desired operating mode and the required propulsion power, the hybrid drive system activates the appropriate power source or both together. The LNG-fueled main engines and the electrical motors are both coupled to the SYDRIVE system and are designed to operate efficiently within their optimal load ranges,helping to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. In terms of thruster integration, each upper gearbox offers two power input positions with an offset angle of +/- 90° for two power sources. An option with a +/- 135° offset angle is also available allowing even more design flexibility. Sembcorp Marine&rsquo s hybridized Schottel RudderPropellers type SRP 430 will have a power intake capacity of about 2,000 kW each which will be fed by zero emissions electrical motors and/or low-emissions LNG main engines.  The 360-degree steerable SRPs combine maximum maneuverability and a high bollard pull as harbor operations require.

Sembcorp Marine Wins Dorado FPSO FEED Deal with AlteraOE Staff  September 2021 Singapore-based Sembcorp Marine has secured an exclusive contract from floating production firm Altera Infrastructure, to carry out the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) work for an FPSO to be built for Santos' Dorado oil and project offshore Australia. Dorado. located in the Bedout Sub-basin, offshore Western Australia,   is an oil and gas project which is expected to have an initial oil production of 75,000 to 100,000 barrels per day, with subsequent development of significant gas resources Altera Infrastructure, previously known as Teekay Offshore,last month secured the FEED contract from Santos for the Dorado FPSO Now, Altera has awarded the FEED work to Sembcorp Marine' s Sembcorp Marine Rigs & Floaters unit. Sembcorp Marine Head of Rigs & Floaters William Gu said: " We are excited to work with Altera Infrastructure and Santos to develop Dorado. The award of the FEED contract affirms Sembcorp Marine&rsquo s engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) capabilities, and reinforces our credentials as a leading engineering solutions provider for the offshore, marine and energy industries.&rdquo The FEED work is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2022. This is the Group&rsquo s third EPC project in collaboration with Altera Infrastructure, following the successful delivery of FPSO Pioneiro de Libra and FPSO Petrojarl Cidade de Itajai in 2017 and 2012 respectively. A Final Investment Decision for the Dorado development is targeted for mid-2022.

Some cashflow facts: As at 31st Dec 2020 Cash and cash equivalent-  $772 mil As at 30th June 2021 Cash and cash equivalent- $788 mil 3 main reasons for the rights issue were: 1) They were coerced into providing a S$600mil yard financing to Transocean. (which is going to accelerate revenue recognition and help SCM to turn in a decent profit in HY2) 2) A lender refused to rollover a maturing loan of S$430mil. 3) Sembmarine are close to securing a few mega FPSO deals (Cambo, Wisting, Darodo,Napant) and need cash to kickstart these projects next year. |

While Temasek had forked out about $1 billion so far for the 2 rights issues, other shareholders (mostly institutions and big retail players) contributed about S$750 mil to the SCM' s coffer last month ($1.4billion over the 2 rights issue). There is substantial fire power underneath this green baby that is just waiting for the right moment to ignite. Temasek and other shareholders just bought 18 billion shares at 8 cents.  While the computer (algorithm program) is controlling the buy and sell queue now, the sell queues will mysteriously vaporise once the avanlanche of buying starts. Sembmarine is likely to hold their cards close to chest at least until Q3 biz update in mid Nov.  The next minor announcement will be for the delivery of teh Ropax ferries, which would bring in tens of millions of cash. For those shouting no contract is likely half blind. Last year, nobody including Keppel OM got any substantial contract. Sembarine won Sofia. SCM won a long term cruise ship repair contract in Q2 and sealed the 2 Transocean drillships completion arrangement (That' s why they need extra manpower to deliver the drillships in the next half a year). Restarted Cambo design work, pending FID by this dec. Secured FEED for Darodo FPSO, 95% chance of starting construction by mid 2022. In the pole position for the Wisting FPSO bid which is a mega USD2-3 billion contract if deal can be confirmed by dec. And just last week, secured a Antarctic support vessel deal (should get the contract if they don' t demand too high a profit margin). The only problem is that SCM do not have the manpower to start a new mega project at least until Feb next year.   |

SCM has $788 mil cash as at end of June. Cash collections from the delivery of Tyra topsides and Hornsea substation and various repair and upgrade work would have added a few hundred millions to their cash holding. Likely they would end the year with about S$1.5 billion cash plus minus |

2 key factors why Sembmarine can win the Antarctic support vessel deal (worth about S$700-800mil): 1) Sembmarine owns LMG Marin, a leading ship design and engineering house based in Norway. Needless to say, their products are designed to withstand extreme cold. 2) Sembmarine owns    Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz, which operates the biggest and most advanced yard in Brazil. EJA is likely the only yard in Brazil capable of  undertaking construction of drillships, semi-submersible and jackup rigs, platforms and  supply vessels, FPSO integration and topside modules fabrication effectively. (EJA will be the yard to beat for any deal that demand high local content to create more Brazillian jobs. |

You might be right, after merger, just get current Keppel OM' s general manager Ivan Lim to head the operation, then all worker problems would be resolved. My prediction post rights issue was for this baby to trade between 8 to 9 cents until 3rd Q update, maybe got chance to break 9c.
