My 2 cts  opinion on this counter. If vested since inception till todate, all dividend income still can not cover the price drop. I was thinking of putting money into this counter, but held back because of this observation. DYDD.

I think you should avoid using " cheenas" as it was used by Japanese to insult Chinese during the war.  2 HK Leco members were disqualified  of their seats as they also used it in their oath taking n created lots of  sentiments.

sgx must admit this stock exchange is a mickey mouse standard unable to attract good high quality companies to list here. It can only attract penny stocks only. SGX is very forturnate that Indo cheenas, msia cheenas and prc cheenas  operators/syndicates help it to grow so fast. This exchange serves its purpose- a vehicle to do backdoor listings ( M& A) and a laundry machine for few years.

Don' t touch this share...there is a red flag as it was previously  been delisted from Dusseldof exhange .

Just wonder the  $40 miliion  price paid goes into whose pocket...??..

Hi Zandlery, so far as we are concern, we are only expressing opinion here, but someone is taking it personally as we are deemed to be talking donw the price when others are trying to stir up the buying interest, I am not sure if people who were caught at the height of $3 over are trying to get out at highest possible price. Volume per trade averaged about 5 to 6k. I am doubtful of the news. There is a similar one, ARA being halted since 3 Nov, and still no announcement, the reply came from GLP was fast and out right deny the news.

I don't dislike this stock. I get decent profit from this stock when it got pump and luckily I able to get out before it is dumped.

yeah right. listening to a guy who vested mostly in his sino grandness ? the one with ultra high interest rates CB , high trade receivables, yet HK IPO was not approved ?
rights issue some more ? why dont company work hard to get all the trade receivables back as cash ?

x 0 		It's ok for me not to participate. With or without me, Mr Market will have the right price for any stock, my opinion is just an opinion. No intention to talk down the price but just merely highlight my observation If the news is true, all those who bought are blessed. Else, trashed.

If I want to collect it cheap, would have done it long time ago liao. For GLP, it' s a good company, but I preferred REIT counters instead.

a lot of big boys are holding on to their tickets. more than $ 500 mil transacted , only small volume today. typical flushing by big boys.

When it was cheap, people was attracted by the lelong price. Now, it' s being played up to current level, the " interested parties" will need to come out more money. Looking at it now, appeared to me as a pump and dump now.

keep the negative news, negative sentiment and fears. that' s exactly what the big brothers want all of us to feel so they can do bargain hunting. walao yesterday 2.45 never buy, sibeh wasted. already up to 2.55 now. it' s as if like buying luxury-branded clothes on a rare christmas clearance sales. remember, luxury-branded clothes will always remain a luxury brand.

Lots of impairments were profit, but lend to VIPs and later becoming bad debts. I had questioned in the AGM on the amount impaired were much more than the total dvidend, why not cut back on the lending and instead reward the shareholders. I believed the reduction of  VIPs due to China' s anti-corruption measures,else, Iam not sure if the management will cut back this strategy. Doing retail is easy money and low risk as the tourists will play with their own money (usually, budgted a sum preparing for the loss).

The problem is the credit assessement, I askedin AGM some years ago and the CEO couldn' t give a satisfactory answer buy oushed it to the Casino Authority, saying Genting is following the guidlelines which I later found out that GENS is supposed to be the one managing the credit policy, the Act and practice guidelines only state the responsibility of Casino operators' responsibility and the authority is not involved in credit policy. IN the eyes of bankers, gamblers are enjoying the lowest credit rating. If good credit rating, the gamblers do not need to make money thru this means. Once loose money and not his money, he will try not to pay, or worst, refused to pay.

As long as the management reduces lending money to VIPs to gamble, casino is " bao jia" .  It' s ilogical to lending money to gamblers who known to be poor crediting rating and hope he will win to pay you.
