Dun worry bro.   It is a compliment.   Based on what I observed so far as a trader  you are very disciplined and not greedy.   Better to earn kopi$$ than lose lunch$$$.   Not chasing hot stock is also good advice.   Better to lose opportunity than $$$. So what is the story with Hiap Tong.   Didn' t follow this one.   No problem if it is a secret.

Articles from NEXTINSGIHT on IEV. http://www.nextinsight.net/index.php/story-archive-mainmenu-60/924-2014/8566-iev-holdings-insiders-buy-substantial-shareholder-sells What they said are not new to me but they missed out on the KSO E& P and the ERM that is helping IEV to turnaround their turnkeys. I believe IEV has much to go and much to show. DYDD.

Correct me if I am wrong.   If they close the deal at the 11th hours it still met the extension.   Annoucement will be made after that.   Good for shareholders if it come before 9am Monday.   But even if it doesn' t, it does not necessarily mean no deal although it increases the anxiety of shareholders. Not to influence anyone.   DYDD.

I shared your views as well. Beside the topline you mentioned, mgmt is also actively tackling both margins and costs with improving credit recovery, increase product margin, improve margins by reducing trade-shows days and investing in low-cost media.   They have been expanding pretty agressively and it is good that they have reviewed their operation and decided to close under-performing stores in both SG and MY. I like that the mgmt is taking all these proactive actions especially on many areas that they have direct control and the best is they share this info with everybody.   At least we know where they are heading. With new stores opening and sale and profit expected to increase coupled by the bonus that they are increasing dividend payout to 40% it is a double-boost to its long suffering shareholders.   I think in this aspect, Courts message is clear.   More importantly, it is not just all talk potential, things are already happening at ground level to materalise it. Courts still have risks.   It operates in a very competitvie environment and its financial cost can be sensitive to interest hike although this is partly dealt with using MTN with a fixed rate.   One big source of Courts' s income comes from credit they give out to their customers.   If the macro environment deteriorates which they cannot control and customers start to default, Courts will suffers.   So the credit recovery measure is very important. I noted that the last 4 weeks, it traded around the all-time low of 51-56cts and around 5.2mil shares changed hand during that 4 weeks.   However, bulk of the trades (420mil shares) since IPO till now traded from 56cts to above $1.   If I looked at Feb to Apr, it is pretty flat at around 58cts.   It seems like those who bought during Feb till now has decide to either TP or exit with small loss/profit.   58cts seems like a resistance now.   Will it turned support evenutally?   Even so  I feels that the uptrend will be met with many resistance as there will be temptation to cut loss or sell at strength. It may also get shot down if shortists come after it.   After all if you want to kill someone, do it before he fully recovers.   So will buyers win or cut loss/TP/shortist triumph? Overall I said Courts mgmt has planted the recovery seed after this quarter annoucement.   Now they will need to nurture it.   We will find out Mr. Market' s decision next week. Not a call to whatever/whatever.   DYDD.

UOBKY 26 mil share is published info.   Can be found easily.   But don' t mixed it up with the QTV risk/potential debate.   That is on the vested interest of analyst report and is not exclusive to QTV. Now, forgive me if I am being suspicious.   If you know you are gonig to strike ToTo tml will you share the ticket with somebody? Likewise, with all these ingredients in place and QTV is going to take off in a big way in the next 2-3 years, will these long-term investors not be willing to put in a bit more $$$ to get it through and offer it at an even higher price when that happens.   I reiterate my view is that these investors decided it is time to manage their risk now. I didn' t realise this was by private placement.   I thought it was offered to the public as well.   If they IPO this coy to the public, based on their performance so far, the response maybe lukewarm and they might not want to risk that.   But there is still way to get public $$$ in indirectly.   The answer can be found in the new IPO investors (and perhaps the placement shares the pre-IPO investor suscribed as well) and the first 4 days of trading.   They want such certainty in securing the required fund showed how careful they are in managing their current risk and the level of carefulness simply equates to the level of risk involved. So far I see these long-term investors has already invested $80mil.   If this coy can definitely be worth $300-$500ml in the end what is throwing in another $50mil to them.   Obviously it is not a definite outcome. There is nothing wrong with managing risk.   We all have to.   However, if you are investing in this coy, know what risks you have inherited from those who are already in and what new risks you subsequently faced.   If you are just trading, it a different ball game. Okay I have done enough risk assessment of this coy. Looking at the available info, it seems the focus has now turned to M& A which has more favourable evidences and not no longer on how big this coy can go which is more hard to sustain. I respect on the potential of M& A since there are more evidences being presented on big boys acquiring loss-making bio-tech coys for its potential. Also remember that this one got EDB backing as well.   Since EDB brought it in, if it toh it looks really bad on them and EDB has also invested our money into it. Hm..maybe got a case but on a different basis now. This is not a call to not buy/sell/trade/invest/contra/short/whatsoever.

Don' t be sian lah.   Them just want to give you more kopi$$$. They know with the current price and volume this will cause further price depression.   That' s risking 87% of their remaining stake.   With the current price, further selling pressure will just made it worse.   They can lose more than 1/3 their investment within a year.   Maybe is just peanut to them. Anyway, best to monitor the trades in the next few day.   CEO and Directors might also queue to collect more. By the way want to confirm they don' t need to report sale once below 5%, right?

The transaction data is 27 May but on that day only 645k lots done deal.   Less than that 1405k lots.   Strange. Since IEV is turning around, got a few promsing developments underway, CEO and ID buying, I am more incline to think it is more VC internal affair then IEV' s.   My view only. Anyway, today bo business leh.   Still very low interest in this.   Haha!   Quite happy with that actually. DYDD.

Okay.   So market is not too insane today.   Close a bit higher at 39.5cts. Sell-down 10% higher than buy-up.   One ED bought 500k @ 39cts. I remained positive that it will cross into the 40cts-50cts realm. DYDD.

It good to have doubts and it pays to have doubts.   If you just take everything people said, you don' t know what risks you are getting into. You should be able to find some answers to those questions from their SGX annoucements.   The question will then be are you convince with what you see once you find out. Market can be very irrational and can fall off a cliff when you least expected it.   If in doubts find out more.   Better to lose opportunties than $$$$. Whether this is a hype or not is subjective.   Perhaps, it doesn' t matter anyway because the Market can be sane and insane at the same time.   Hope the Market is more sane today.   We' ll see. Anyway, not a call to buy/sell/invest/trade.   Do DYDD.     Gd luck!
