Wah Bro, you also need a chill pill.

Anyway, you want to share your view on QTV?   At least notsostupid has been debating on the M& A route.

Then dont buy this stock. Its a healthcare R& D company, what else do you expect? Its not going to turn in any profits until their projects are successful, until then, stop commenting on the obvious and be more useful to the forum.

sheerluck      ( Date: 17-Jun-2015 13:01) Posted:

Yeah but sale is not increasing and their operation is not generating cash yet.   QTV cash burn rate is very high.   They got USD40mill from the IPO and already burnt USD30mil in three quarters.   So one year they need to burn USD40mil.   If they get a loan from bank, the bank probably charge them very high interest rate to manage risk.   The interest expense is going to further impact their bottomline.   Unless they start turning in +ve FCF from next quarter, they are more likley to do placement or right issues.

Bro, you need a chill pill.

It is irrelevant for forummers here to get it or not.   What you need is for big pharmacy or medical coy to get it because the forummers here can choose not to sell but they cannot acquire QTV at US$ few hundred millions for you.   So what is your point of ranting here.   Your targetted audient is totally wrong.   You are wasting your energy here.

Instead, what we can benefit from the forum is to share and exchange info.   Anyway, there are always two sides to a debate and it is not about who win in the end.   It is about getting the info from both sides to help you in the decision making.

The acquisition of QTV may be a long term event.   But short near wise getting towards a cashflow problem is very real.   What it measn to those who are interested but not yet vested means opportunity to get it with a even wider MOS.   For existing shareholers, especially those who are buy into those analysts story and bought in at a high price, they need to decide if their analysts of QTV still holds.

notsostupid      ( Date: 17-Jun-2015 13:15) Posted:

Another don't get it? Your explanation is same story applied to the companies that were acquired. No revenue no profit no nothing but still got acquired for US$ few hundred millions. Whatever concern you mentioned is totally irrelevant to the acquirer. Still don't get it?

You don't seem to get it. Which new start up has growing cashflow. Read up the two companies that were acquired for their similar products. This is no excuse to press down price.

Quite a run-up today.   MOS still there but getting smaller and still concern about their cashflow.

Congrats to those who picked up the durian earlier!  smiley

I suggest keep a close watch on their cash and for M& A, just continue to look out for news about it.   Good luck!

You can't even convinced yourself how to expect others to convinced you. Industry people knew new start ups don't even have revenue and profit, funds drying up same for all start ups till the edge of cliff. But still those with product want by the market got acquired by the hundreds of million in US$. Don't be narrow minded and naive by just looking at things you can see now physically. See the prospect, my friend!

OK since you cannot convince me on the financial (hard truth) and want to switch to M& A (potential) debate now....

I understand your M& A " hope" but lets face it, the financial of a coy is important and the truth is QTV is now near to cash call point looking at the way it (de) generate cash.   True, a coy can report years of losses but still carry on business as usual so long as cash flow is not dried up.   Unfortunately the low share price work against them in either the equtiy funding route (high dilution) or debt (high gearing).

The truth is QTV is very near to a cliff.   The question is will a bigger ship come in time to save QTV before it gets too near.   Mind you.   Many would have jump off along the way.   By the time it is at the edge of teh cliff, you might not even get anywhere near the deck to jump off.   Acquirer might be interested in the QTV treasure but not the body.   They can always dig out the treasure at bottom of the cliff becos that will remain intact whether the ship crash or not.   Ofc we know  what will happen to those still onboard.

Anyway, the current price presented a decent MOS for entry but if QTV still dish out this sort of performance, I am afraid this MOS will be severely compromised so let monitor their financail health in the next two quarters.

Have you research into Lutonix or CV Ingenuity? After you have done it, pls report here like you did for QT. The former two were acquired by the hundreds of millions of US$. You have not paid attention to my previous comment. Giant medical companies want the product, the potential and the immediate market share. The start up loss is immaterial.

sheerluck      ( Date: 11-Jun-2015 11:37) Posted:

That will apply well to matured company subjected to seasonally variation.   But QTV is not this sort of company.   It doesn' t do X' ams sale (or maybe it does but I am not aware).   It is evolving both on product and geographicals so the closest you get for a more comparable basis is to the previous Q.

Let see how QTV performace since listed.

Since listed, it OCF (outflow) doubled from USD3 mil per quarter to USD7-8mil per quarter.   I don' t think it will improve anytime soon looking at how things has been going so far.   Now you see why they IPO this coy.   QTV is now entering a cash burnign phase and those initial investors not adding any or enough fund to this coy so alternate route to funding is I-P-O.   They packaged it up and sell part of the coy to the public at a premium thereby securing their investment by transferring all their risks to retailers while allowing the coy to grow (or die).   So now public holds this baby (hope it grows well!).

Then their fixed cost is damn high and their reveune per quarter way too low to cover this.   USD5mil per quarter until FY14Q4 when it jumps to USD10mil (yeah! year end X' mas bonus to mgmt but none to retail shareholders!).   Here is where your Christmas sales theory comes in but rather than having a boost of sale from X' mas, there is a boost to executive pay pocket!

There is a a USD10mil intangible asset out of their USD25mil equity in their BS so their NTA is USD15mil so how many more Q before the NTA goes to zero if they keep lossing USD5-6mil per Q and the NAV are then all intangible asset.

This company is not performing good at all.

Revenue dropped from USD3.7 mil to USD3.3mil QoQ.   Units sold dropped from 8,904 to 8,098 QoQ.   The demand for their porduct is weak.

They have huge number of cheap share option for their own people.   The CEO converted 3.12million shares paid only SGD26k and later sold 1.2mil shares for SGD408k.   An instant profit of SGD382k.   The reason stated is for tax purpose.   Yeah right!

Last quater cash is USD20mil.   This quarter left USD9.7mil.   One quater used up more than USD10mil.   Not enough left for next quarter.   Cash call is entirely possible.

KWC results from their operation side is actually not bad but got drag down by their investment activities.

Analysts has really hyped up the special div story no knowing whether KWC will hold on those KTIS share long term or not.    Ofc one shuold expect that the chance of KWC selling KTIS stake gets lower as price of KTIS drops and the reverse is true.    Anyway, people who has being following KW long enough should know that there are no sign of them disposing enough KTIS share for a special div.   However, market might just play on the " disappointed with no special div" .

The market will speak on Tuesday.

If u refer to Bakertech thread in Feb..

http://www.sharejunction.com/sharejunction/listMessage.htm?topicId=11434& recordCount=60

When everyone is expecting special dividend. Look at the title of Kingwan thread, " Special Dividend Incoming" .. u know the share price of Kingwan was up due to ppl buying hoping for special dividend. So when there is none, price will drop.

I even provided a share price chart of KTIS to prove that Kingwan 4Q earning will not be as good as 3Q due to the sinking share price of KTIS.

U can judge me based on the price of Kingwan on Tuesday. Im pretty sure Kingwan share price will drop back to 30 cents on Tuesday due to the disaapointment of lack of special dividend.

Anyway I am not vested in Kingwan, just help to warn others against buying hoping for special dividend becos the share price of KTIS says otherwise.

Thanks vivivava.

Good to know this.   Two points I took away from this.   J& J is disvesting away from this so will not be a potential acquirer.   Cordis seems to have their own DCB product so how likely is Cordis or Cardinal Health going to acquirer another company doing the similar products.   If not Cordis or CH, then who else woud like a pie in this competitive and margin thin business?

Will those acquired companies with strong backer now have market moving advantages over QTV?

vivivava      ( Date: 21-Apr-2015 13:00) Posted:

if there is acquistion of QT, J& J will not be the buyer,,,it will have to be someone else

J& J just sold Cordis to Cardinal Health recently

Chill bro.   Why don' t you debate on the point that J& J being one of the most well-known player in this industry and an early investor in QTV not acquiring it?   Why have QTV listed and then ended up having to pay a premium to get it later?   Can you offer some explanations?

For me, acquisition of QTV, if any, is a matter of time.

Also if I see three red balls being drawn from a bag of six and generalised that the fourth will also be a red ball, I might be in for a nasty surprise.

There is really no point buing back share now since it hasn' t prove solidly that it is worth that much and especially when they are burnning cash to keep operation going.

J& J is one of the early investors.   They are a potential acquirer and could have get it cheaper without listing QT.   Why list QT and pay a premium for it later?   It said something about QT now.   If QT has a mass market leading products, it would have been acquire yesterday.

It may be acquired one day but QT needs to shows some exposively breakthrough.   I can' t see it happening anytime soon.

My personal view.

Indeed.   I am not surprised abt it.   Based on valuation which is about 4 timex NTA (compared to SG property which trade below NAV/RNAV), it seems over-priced.   However, the selling point of LINK will be its involvement in the One World Medini project.   How will it go?   Only time will tell.
