Looks like BB trying to trick retailers to sell cheap to them again .... very likely the selling and buying are between themselves.

There are 13K lots transcated at 0.002. Nobody bought lower than 0.002, and the rights is oversubscribed at 0.002. Who will want to sell at 0.002?

At least the rights subscription is 160% oversubscribed .... there are still interest in this counter   .... and  the coy  got the money to survive longer and most likely won' t die in the next 1~2 years.

If you are worried about losing, my advice is to avoid this stock. I believe those who punted at 0.003 are prepared to lose all. It' s risk vs reward. Either lose all (i believe won' t happen in the next 2 years) vs the share price rebounding. If you punt 400 lots, every 0.001c increment, it' s $400 profit.

It has been 2 years since the CAD started their investigation, and they can' t investigate forever. Even though Blumont' s price is 0.003 now, i strongly believe there are many who are watching closely due it' s history.... and if CAD clears this counter, the chances of the share price rebounding is very high ... and many could be chasing at that point and the share price can easily going above 0.1, and you' ll be looking at least few times gain.

This is gambling. So, if you will feel pain if you lose all, then, i think this share is not suitable for you. Else, you can bet with the small amount that you can afford to lose.

Currently, all commodities counters are affected. Guess, the company will just need to go through the rough patches. Will need to find out how the company plans to survive to ride out the downturn.

Can' t imagine that this counter used to be $2 previously. A thousand lots used to cost $2 Million, and now is only $2K. Once the CAD investigation is over, and if Blumont is cleared, i won' t be hoping that it' ll go back to $2. Just a jump to 0.03 .... it' s 10x the current price.

I' m prepared to lose all .... and take it as a gamble.

I view that the chances of Blumont totally collapse in the next 2 years is much lesser than the price rebound to near 0.01. The reward at the current price rebounding is much much higher than the risk of losing all.

If you study the chart, the price was still at 0.01c in July. It came down so fast to 0.003 in less than 3 months. I believe even at 0.01, most retailers will have lost too much, and will not be bothered to sell down during that 3 months. Most likely, BB make the price go down to 0.003 to accumulate more. Their cost must surely be higher than 0.01 .....

No wonder when retailers start to bite 0.003, the 20K lots were withdrawn immediately. Let' s see if more retailers want to punt .... and try to eat the BB' s lot at 0.004.... will they just let the retailer eat ... or will they withdraw too. Will be watching closely, and might want to punt too. Too bad that i think too long ... the 0.003 will be hard to get now.

From 20K+ sellers at 0.003 yesterday to 8K buyers at 0.003 today.

I bet the 40K lots seller at 0.004 also belongs to the BB. The moment the retailer start biting it, they will withdraw the 40K lots.

i doubt is retailer ..... 0.003c is already the lowest, and 20K lots will cause around 60K. Very likely that this was purchased at a higher price. As a retailer, would you want to lose by selling at the lowest? For 20K lots, every 0.001c means 20K loses...

Waa ... earlier, there were 20K seller at 0.003. Now, the seller has reduced to just 1K, but the volume is only 2K. I think it' s the BB who initially put the 20K. Now, maybe scared that the retailer will eat up their lots .... quickly withdraw ...

Blumont has indicated that they will move to Catalyst .... meaning there won' t be any share consolidation to mee the MTP of 20c.

As long as we have the mentality of punting, and prepare the lose all, it' s definitely worth a punt at the current price. At current price of 0.003, the most it can drop is 0.001 .... Or suspended. However, if the BB start pumping again .... can you imagine the percentage of gain? Are mere 0.01c, it' s more than 200% profit. The risk (all gone) vs reward (Multiple X cos the price is really rock bottom)

I won' t be surprised that the price was pressed down so that if Guocoland really make an offer to delist, the offer price will be more acceptable. So far, the offer price for our delisted counter is normally 20~30% higher than the last traded price. Maybe, by pressing down, it' ll help to reduce the offer price?

For the past 3 years, there are many companies that choose to delist to avoid paying the QC - Soilbuild (delist and relist again), Allgreen, Popular, SC Global, Keppel land. There are also others that sold the unsold units to their parent or subsidiary like Hiap Hoe but the buyer will need to pay 15% stamp duty.

Only 92 lots done today n px got forced down by up to 4c.  Here seems easy to bring down a counter.  Maybe people are up to something forcing the px to < 1.80 again (happened before  recent result announcement) to collect cheap.  To retrace upwards after that?

If both Keppel and Popular bought out the company, there is also a high possibility that Guccoland might do that. If they can use related/affiliated company to bypass the regulation, Keppel might use that to avoid the buyout which drained them of cash when the O& G industry is doing badly. Furthermore, the regulators will easily identify that, and they would have done so much earlier ... and not wait until dec to move the unsold units to related/ affiliated company.

It' s risk vs reward. The current price is already low (lowest is 1.78). If the buyout doesn' t occur in Dec, the downside is limited. However, if they do that, they will need to offer at least $3 (NAV) ....or more. It' s more than 50% gain. If they offer higher, the gain is much higher. If not, the current price would already factor the fines ... and they have more than enough cash to handle it. Furthermore, the current price doesn' t seems to factor the supper good Q1 result.

If you look at their 1Q report, the coy has 2billion in cash. If i' m hold 80% of the holding, and if i base on the assumption that they will offer to buy the remaining 20% at $4 (from 20% x 1,109,768,343 (number of shares) x $4), it' ll work out around 883 million.

It does make a lot of sense to privatise it using 880 millin, and then have access to the 2 Billion cash. Why will they want to pay 100M each year ... as i don' t think they can clear the unsold unit in the next 1~ 2years.

Even Popular did it to avoid the fines. What Bro Edwin said definitely make sense.

The company can only purchase shares by way of a market acquisition at a price which is not more than 5% above the average closing market price. I believe this is to ensure that the company does not use the buyback to manipulate the share price.

Based on the announcement, the company is allowed to purchase up to 304K lots of shares, and they have purchased 149K lots on friday/  That' s half of what they are allowed to purchase.

Since they can' t do share buyback if there is pending announcement (to ensure no manipulation), the the recent price ramp up was due to maintain the price at 59c to allow share buyback at that price ..... there is no reason for the price to stay up further .... high risk that it might go down.

Furthermore, in 2 months time, 1,520,978 lots of new shares are going to hit the market, these investors will surely sell since they exercise it at 0.10c. Better don' t chase this counter further.

If the ramp up is not due to any new pending announcement, the possibility of share retracting is very very high.

I doubt the BB will need to push up to encourage shareholders to exercise the warrant. Even if the mother's price is 0.15, warrant holders will still exercise it. No need to pump up fm 40c to 59c. If there are sone insiders news, the warrant would have moved in tandem.... the mothers volume is high, yet the warrant volume is low..... and not moving.

Jimmykohkk      ( Date: 16-Sep-2015 05:12) Posted:

Sorry, i meant " If my intepretation is correct, if anyone pumps up the shares, the investors can borrow shares to sell it first, and convert their bond later.

nngeeh      ( Date: 25-Jul-2015 15:10) Posted:

I only trust what i read from the announcement. I could have misinterpret the announcement, but i will need concrete and logical explanation to challenge the language that is used in the announcement. I intended to invest until i see the fine detail .... and will be happy if anyone can explain or contradict what i have interpreted below.

If my intepretation is correct, these anyone one pump up the shares, the investors could borrow to sell it first, and convert their bond. The profit will be higher. As explained below, the bond can be converted any time, and i didn' t see any selling restriction from the announcement.

Conversion
At any time from the closing date, the Bonds may be converte  at a fixed conversion price of S$0.128 (" Fixed Conversion Price
-> I interpreted that the bond can be converted from the issuing date

Payment on Maturity
On Maturity Date, and irrespective of whether the Investors have converted their Bonds into Shares, the Company will pay to each Investor an amount equivalent to the principal amount of the Bonds subscribed by such Investor. Such amount will not be payable by the Company where the Investor has already received or is entitled to receive the payments in a Qualifying Exit Event.
-> I interpret this as " Investor can convert their bond at any time, but still get back the principal" . The only exception is based is based on qualifying Exit event.

Qualifying Exit Event
Occur prior to the Maturity Date:
(a) entry by the Company into legally binding agreements for the sale of the Company and/or all or any of the Subsidiaries
(b) entry by the Company into legally binding agreements for the sale of a major asset or business of the Group.

-> I intepret this that only when the company is sold, the company will need to pay the principle

Interest
The Bonds bear interest from the closing date of each tranche at the rate of 8.0% per annum, due and payable every six (6) months in arrears. Interest will cease to be payable on the Bonds in the event they are converted into Shares.
-> If convert the bond, no interest will be given. If can get 90% profit, why take the risk of not converting just for the 8%

Fatm@n      ( Date: 25-Jul-2015 12:30) Posted:

This is not logical at all.
You must have misunderstood the condition.
What you understand, is placing $13mil and get back $11.7mil immediately which means only $1.3mil is invested. 18 mths later from $1.3mil, you get $13mil plus 8%.
If this is the case, every mother son will fight to be the investors....
Then the fund shouldn't be only $13mil it could be so much so much more....
Please be sensible....
