Hard to say. The huge H1 losses and 2nd rights issue could be instructed by Temasek. The CEO might be "rewarded" for his compliance.

I refer to Ben Paul' s article titled " Sembmarine faces a tough week ahead" on Nov 1, 2021.

I am a long-time shareholder of Sembmarine, and I have watched with alarm and dismay the fall in its shares - some of which I bought at several dollars each.

Looking at the recent strong performance of Keppel O& M, I strongly believe a revitalisation of the board and management of Sembmarine is urgent and necessary. Some of the latter' s board members have been around for a long time.

Despite buoyant oil prices and 2 recent massive rights issues, there is still no light at the end of the tunnel. Without an infusion of fresh blood soon into the company, I am afraid it would end up like Neptune Orient Lines.

You are obviously an amateur beginner, not knowing simple security regulation.

What so hard to believe someone invested $160k. Beside Temasek, most holders of SCM shares are institutions and higher net worth individuals. Vast majority of the smaller players have already exited this counter out of fear created by the shortist who is still short 1-2 billon shares.

The " free shares" from SCI demerger are not really free. I added the book value of those shares taken from SCI book' s amounting to $1.35 billion.

Yes, Temasek is absorbing vast majority of the remaining weak hands. There would be almost no REAL seller below 8 cents for the ensuing months. Just like there no SIA seller below $3 for a long period of time.

The Shortist is estimated to be short 1-2 billion shares now. They can short sell more to push price lower than 8 cents. But by so doing, they would be increasing their short position to 3-4 billion and so on. Those short positions will then become the rocket fuel for this baby to rocket 5-10 folds later.

Unconditional means all conditions are met, that means offerer cannot back out of the offer of 8 cents. Offeror must accept 8 cents. However, existing shareholders have the option to Sell or Hold. Those wanting to Sell, today 5.30pm is the deadline. Those who chose to Hold can continue to Hold until Offeror reach > 90% which will result in SembMarine being delisted.

As of now, it is still far from the 90% mark which means SembMarine will continue to be traded in public.

And if you still refused to Sell if SembMarine becomes delisted, you will become a Private shareholder. Still entitled to dividends or share distribution or whatsoever entitlement as a shareholder. However you are unable to trade in the open market.
