Very likely Trump is not willing to end the war so soon unless Iran can offer a deal that is too good for him to decline. His oil industries are making huge windfall profits and Congress are now mooting to pass a windfall tax.

Whistler blower on corruption etc happening all the time, even in Singapore. It is not likely to affect the company if the company is making money with good earnings. Think it is more affected by the recent event in Rex Intl that was claimed to have an " going concerns" . Just like to say that RH is in a much better position in term of fundamental and earning quality. It has a accural free cash (AFC) of -0.16 for TTM which is quite good compared to the average companies although its performance was dragged down by Q3 & Q4 when the oil price was around $60/-. Negative AFC meaning the company has a good earning quality that is able to turn income into free cash. The recent oil price hikes should do good to boost RH' s performance and its AFC should improve further. On the other hand, Rex Intl' s AFC are not good.

Anyway, SIA has had a good 12 month trailing result (TTM) in the last report and it has good earning quality as can be seen with TTM accrual free cash flow (AFC) ibeing negative. Shortsell yesterday was about 35% of trading volume of 20 million. Worth about $16 millioin. Those shortists who shorted on 18 Apr nmade some money. Not sure if they can expect to earn more this round. 35% shortsell volume is not too high but if they tried to offload, it will push the price up as the cummulated shortsell over days are rather high.

The equivalent of seatrim in US is TechpicFMC(FTI) and in Japan is MODEC (6269) and in Netherland, SBM (SBMO). FTI and SBMO has been going up but 6269 is a loser which has been going down since the last peak about 1 week ago. 6269 is going down because it is not doing well, only able to secure some subcontracting work from China shipyard. Not sure why Seatrim is following 6269
