Traders are seeing a bottom for oil.

On Thursday, the United States Oil Fund ETF (USO) saw four times its average daily call volume, indicating bullish bets from traders. One trader bought 60,000 of the December 20/21 call spreads for $0.06 each, paying a $360,000 premium on a bet that USO breaks above $20 by December expiration.

Energy rallied 4 percent to top materials and health care as the greatest advancer in the S& P.

Crude settled up 80 cents, or 1,8 percent, at $45.54 a barrel. Oil jumped after the number of oil rigs in operation in U.S. oilfields fell by 26 in the week ended Oct. 2. That compares with a total decline of 35 rigs in the previous four weeks.

The gain in stocks " was leading in front of that but this (rig count) is going to confirm this move," said Art Hogan, chief market strategist at Wunderlich Securities. We " started seeing some of the oversold sectors carry a bid, first biotech, then energy."

Patience Bro, just gotten part of my order done.. make sure longists can pick up what is bought so can ride thru the wayang...   relax lah as BBs with many strong connections just bought 207M on 25 Sep at 0.12112.. so they will not throw away good money right!   Matter of time to cheong only..

Price and Vol action tell a lot about a stock, collection, BB' s action, price reversal, etc .. there' s one book written by a famous lady trader who relied only on Price and Vol to trade and she became very successful as her theory is that any point in time, all news known by public, known by BBs or yet to be released will be reflected in the price/ Vol. From experience, I spotted many price reversals n profited from it.. either TP or jeep at the right time is important in day trading.. jmho.

Man, May i ask, why do you waste time in putting up all these number which obviously people can see for themselves?

Lots of counters are moving good today...why not invest and make some money there instead of talking too much abt one particular stock just as if you founded the company and are emotionally attached!

We can' t say for sure, because sometimes things happen in the opposite from the norm.

Like when Fed stayed the interest rates, the market fell.   People expected rates to move up then, but the golden girl thought delay can help the economy.   People don' t like the delay, so the market went down.   Had Fed raised interest rates then, maybe the market would not have fallen and instead have risen last month.

So people in the market are always unpredictable, but then if the interest rate was up by more than expected, market might even spike because people may feel that money is more worth than before.

Well, the girl has pressure from two prominent sides. IMF and Congress of course.

With the current market slow, if the interest rate is up, and if anything goes wrong, everyone will be pointing finger at her.

Congress recently just passed the bill to prevent bankrupcy the states. 

Next year is presidential election, She definetly is scare,,

That is why DNB bank bought 207 million shares at around 119.

Just waiting for sgx shorting gangs to cover, then I think 140 to 150 can reach fast..

yessmiley  Must pickup the stocks and hold to max the profits as what I did from 9.x to 13.6..

Clarification: Frontal Global EL is the Buyer of the 207 Million at 0.12112.. in the transaction handled by DNB.  

Their parent company is Akastor which is listed on Norway SE. (Noted with interest is that Goldman S is a Nom holder with 16.94% in this Co)    

Check Sgx website on Ezra' s announcement.
