From the financials, Genting is healthy and keeping the bullets for the coming tender as evidenced by the high cash position. I hope the shortists will brinng it down again to lower the entry level for accumulations. DYDD.

Dear Balasuperman, thank you for your views. I am really hoping that the price will stabilize. Because if it keeps going down it may not be good for all.
The recent announcement of $0.05 dividend is also lesser than its usual. I guess it?s because Global Inv is in a state of uncertainty that is why they are treading very carefully and I appreciate the fact that the STAM management are very prudent.
Would you go in some more now at $0.134 at the cheap and grab a huge lot yourself?

| Dropped almost 8% in the laat month. Either some unknown facts not shared w shareholders or someone is trying to push the price down. They have indicated a dividend of 0.05 cents to be announced in august n they have settled the case w babcock n brown for 10million dollars n further the nav of the stock is about 19.6 cents so there shld not be any reasonable reason for the price drop. Unless due to their exposure in europe. Anyway i have not sold m waiting cos the company has beem giving good dividends plus w the 10 million in settlement with babcock n brown might even get a bonus dividend. |

Agreed. The hotel in Jurong East was commented by a shareholder in AGM saying he noted high occupancy rate and further asked management for the possibility of taking up another land nearby to build another hotel there. The impact on Genting Singapore is not expected to be significant.

I recall seeing quite high occupancy for Genting Jurong even without HSR. My gut feel is a cancellation is good for GENS as harder for Sinkies to go day tripping or to travel to Gengting Highlands to gamble. Which could be why it spiked up on Monday trading.

The increase in Profit before Tax was largely due to reductionn of Other Operating Expenses by almost the same amount {Please also read Para 8 (A) (vi)}. I don' t see any improvement in financial performance except no impairment made in the year of announcement.

With very good results announced today, its a joke for the share price to remain around 7 cents (drop from 30 cents) when profit jumps 111 %.
One thing for sure their salary will be very good since profit jump 111 %.

MLM or Direct Sale are working on the mass numbers of members, the 20/80 rule is likely to apply for this method of sale, 20% of the sale force generate 80% of the turnover. Looking at all the past years of track records, I am not so optimistic about the pontential of this company.
