Long term as in one year. Mid as in 6months.

Not 10- 20 years.

Everyday got news, need update. By now you should understand, none of the trio are " usual counters" . Trio's are also very volatile and contain alot of uncertainty, no choice but to monitor closely.

Not vested in Liongold.

erm, wait a while?

Short-term gold market is going to get hit by recovering US economy.

Mid to long term, gold is still highly soughted after by Asiasn economy like China and India.

China has got the ambitious to replace USD with RMB as the world currency. To achieve that goal, Chinese government need to accumulate gold to ultimately prove that USD is weak and without backing. Gold still valuable in long term, just don't hold paper gold*****.

*****Paper gold refer to those products where financial instituition sell you some certificate and inform that you hold some gold that is hold in some safe place. You never got to actually see the gold at all. Most of these gold do not actually exist but banks still collect holding fee from you.

Goodluck to those who vested.

Just remember don't be greedy, as any sustainable commodity rally need to comes after equity rally.

So any rally now, you can choose to escape first if the price is good. Buy back later.

Yr claim of chinese articles has more depth is an excuse to cover yrself.It all depend on the source.All these arguments would not have surfaced if eveyone make an effort to comply with the T& C.

Not me don't want to cut loss, and stuff.

As much as I wanted to time the market and hold no position like you guys, I just can't trade well.

I once done a test for myself, using paper money of course, the result was disastrous. Aggregate loss of 20% after taking in account brokerage fee. One tailed hypothesis with 90% (min already) confidence, me also can't achieve. Simply put, me no market timing skill at all! :( :( :(

It is said that anyone with either stock picking skill or market timing skill can consistently beat the market.

Definitely way less than 10k lots. Can't disclose the exact figure, cos that would reveal my net worth- privacy issue..But I can disclose my losses is 5 figures now!

I am not too concern about short-term fluctuation cos I am not a trader not because I talk brave.

For the same reason, I did not take profit at 4.5cents cos I am an investor liquidating overvalued counters only, not because I am greedy.

20 years..... No need to wait already. By the time the findings are out, they are no longer relevant.

Besides, I have got every reason to believe their investigation is not specifically on Trio's wrong doing. Rather I think the investigation is mainly to reflect on the the strenght of current's regulations and how to improve those regulations to prevent such incident from happening again.

Reasons to support my claim:

If there is really any wrong doing, we should have seen directors or companies being charged. So far nothing happened yet. Well, there is still a possiblity that regulators have yet to find any solid evidence but will charge the companies later.
Even if regulators have yet to found solid evidence, the directors and senior managers should have made use of the chance to escape before the regulators find any evidence. None of the directors or managers ran. Thus most likely than not, there is no actual wrong doing.
Rather, it is more likely to be the case that that the Trio are involved in some grey-area " wrong-doing" . Meaning, the trio are playing with legal loopshole to get unfair disadvantage. Hence even knowing it is wrong, the regulators could not charge them. Regulators could only review market regulation to prevent similar incident in the future. At least this is the message I inferred from an email reply I got from SGX. The following is the second paragraph quoted from the email:

" To share an update with you, we are currently working with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and other stakeholders to conduct an extensive review of the activities surrounding these stocks. This review also includes a broader spectrum of our market structure and practices which MAS and SGX intends to review thoroughly."

Full copy of the email is as follows. I once posted it on Blumont's thread. Much of the email content is a cut and paste from another official email to media when the trio incident first occurred, except for second paragraph which I quoted above.
