Markets already price in the idea of QE3 ending since mths ago. Rates are not expected to rise until summer next year. Monetary liquidity is still abundance as EU and China are still doing their own stimulus program and Bank of Japan is expected to add on further stimulus in Nov to spur their economy growth.

Yup i agree bro, fundamentally, there are alot of uncertainties so one should be careful when making decisions on this counter. For me, I will prefer keppel corp over sembmar if base on fundamentals but technically, the risk to reward ratio is worth taking small positons at $3.6 and $3.5. My stop loss will be $3.47.

In my opinion, for those whom would like to invest or exit the stock should keep in mind of petrobas and analysis.

" Prosecutors have filed fraud charges against an erstwhile executive of Petrobras and eight other suspects over alleged gross overbilling for a contract, the latest corruption scandal to rock the Brazilian state-controlled oil giant."

Often, investors have lot of uncertainty when fraud is involved.

On top of this, crude oil price hit low everyday.

Generally the outlook of sembcorp marine looks bleak for now.

It is definitely a sub-marine now, and the question now is: how deep is the ocean?

I have previously bought at 0.36 and sold at 0.38 during late July. However, I would advice all those who are still vested to at least hold till mid oct and wait for markets to turn around.

But I thought already sold off equity plaza? I heard they are planning to divest Mbfc also. With all these, should reduce gearings by alot liao.

On a side note, I would like to recommend Wee Hur for those who have capital. This counter is a gem. Potentially 30% upside by Next Jan. I also like capitaland, tuan sing and yanlord.

It is going to go for the next wave of uptrend. Btw, someone said what raising cash in market will cause the price to fall...I wonder if a company don' t intend to tap into the public funds to expand their biz then what for they get listed in the first place??? U mean they get IPO one time, raised the initial cash then forever no more corporate actions? If a company is growing and the visibility of the biz profitablity is clear then raising cash to expand makes sense. If not u want them to slowly expand and miss opportunities? Borrowing through issuing of debts will only increase gearing ratios but by issuing rights and additional shares, it means the company is confident of growing the pie larger for everyone. Btw, price drop doesnt mean anything much when the charts are supporting it. U run also need to take a breath and slow down before continuing again and it is the same for stock prices movement.
