NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- The CBOE Volatility Index VIX -15.26% dropped 14% on Wednesday as stocks rallied on the heels of a fiscal-cliff deal in Washington. The move down comes after the gauge of investor uncertainty touched a five-month high late last week as uncertainty over the fate of the U.S. tax and spending package known as the fiscal cliff loomed. In the broad equities market, the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA +1.96% rallied 270 points, with all 30 components moving higher.

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- The final Markit U.S. manufacturing purchasing managers index reached 54.0 in December, a seven-month high but below the flash reading of 54.2. PMI index readings above 50.0 signal an increase or improvement on the prior month, while readings below 50.0 indicate a decrease. A similar gauge is due in an hour's time from the Institute for Supply Management. " With recent indications that growth is also picking up in other key economies around the world, notably in emerging markets such as China and Brazil, and that the euro zone's economic crisis is easing, U.S. companies should benefit as stronger demand lifts exports in early 2013," Said Chris Williamson, chief economist at Markit, in a statement.

No doubt STI rebound strongly, but it cannot hold well as this is multiple gaps pump and within my crystal ball window... I trust my crystal ball....lol....Anyway I have done enough chanting.... My take is SHORT more.... That's all I want to say....
