not necessary !! after KC/SPH control 75% market floating left very little share to trade.
if KC intend to delist M1 then they have to control > 90% . if they are no hurry they can press down
the market price and slowly pick up the remaining from open market at cheaper price.
no matter how all decided by them

At least the coming dividend is guaranteed, isn' t it ?

MichaelSchenker      ( Date: 19-Feb-2019 13:05) Posted:

Consider this, for those who wanted to invest in M1 shares.

Tender (surrender) now at 2.06

Buy back after XD. (You would have made a good deal if you manage to buy back below 2.00)

Of course nothing is guaranteed, but looking at current situation, it looks likely   M1 would go below 2.00 after XD, unless there are new developments.

Good Luck to all. You will certainly need it.

no need to call broker lah unless you want to sell to open market otherwise just submit the form once SGX received your instruction they will debit your M1 share and pay you with cash. Within a week can settle lia

I hold Amara shares more than 10 years liao. The movement of share price is worst than turtle crawling, no energy (no volume support) and never hit the targets.  And if it falls, then it rolls down hill like a rock.

Forget about this stock, If you have money to invest, go and look for other better stocks. For me, I already framed it up and put inside my toilet room as decolaration.

no, its just all conditions being met, it turns unconditional...... they still have 14+% more to collect to turn it into mandatory... (i.e. > 90% control to delist)
offer is extended to March 4th....

u have to tender your shares to be able to receive the money, give ur broker a call ask him assist u, else u maybe submit the reply slip by mail.

simplesimon      ( Date: 16-Feb-2019 15:14) Posted:

Does unconditional means compulsory acquisition? So minority holders just wait for the offeror to credit the money ?

Wow, sudden death........... KUALA LUMPUR/SINGAPORE, Feb 15 (Reuters) - Malaysia's Axiata Group the largest shareholder in Singapore mobile operator M1 Ltd has accepted a bid from Singapore investors that valued M1 at S$1.9 billion ($1.4 billion). In a statement late on Friday, the telecoms group said it would book an estimated gain of 126.5 million ringgit ($31 million) after selling its 28.7 percent stake in M1 for about 1.65 billion ringgit. Last year, Singapore conglomerate Keppel Corp and Singapore Press Holdings launched an offer to gain majority control of M1. They offered S$2.06 for each M1 share, aiming to restructure it to better compete with sector rivals.

9 cents still quite attractive
1/2 of the SGX counters never pay single cent for past 10 year liao

Ximi88      ( Date: 15-Feb-2019 14:52) Posted:

FY2018 dividends - 16 cents
FY2019 dividends - 9 cents (may vary)

Earnings per share for FY2018 - 11.2 cents
Earning per share for FY2018 Q4 - 1 cents

The dividend policy of distrubuting out 80% of its profits is unsustainable. The key takeaway is that FY2019 dividends is now variable, could be less than 9 cents.

ahhuat08      ( Date: 15-Feb-2019 14:06) Posted:

KAMAL0883      ( Date: 15-Feb-2019 11:49) Posted:

if Axiata never tender their 28% how could KC/SPH reach the 90% berrier ?

gopguppy      ( Date: 15-Feb-2019 11:45) Posted:

KC/SPH' s agreement with SGX is they can privatise M1 without Axiata tendering their shares...meaning as long as 90% of free float shares are tendered, M1 can be privatised. Axiata can be a bystander with no involvement at all

100% depend on Axiata
if Axiata surrender the remaining small flies cant do anything at all
up to today Axiate still never approach any bank for advise so very likely they want to take the huge profit
if small flies still want to challange the 2 big crocodile /shark then better mentally prepare for M1 price drop below 1.80
by then the 2 big crocodile / shark very happy to collect super cheap price from open market
