I bought additional shares at 3.66 to 3.68 as the price is too good. With the mini double bottom at 3.66 vs 3.65, we should see a rebound from now Good Luck for long term holders. It is time the banks buy back their shares Last sell down culprit was UBS |

Many people truely believe it is impossible for SIA to rise in the short term. I was advised to abandon SIA. However an investor do not sell just because the short term outlook is bleak. The difference between an investor and trader is long term vs short term. Investor wants to buy a house cheap and always happy to buy more cheap valuable houses as he / she understands the long term capital gain - which is much more than the short term gain in trading houses.  When property crashes nobody wants to buy. When rises, many people wants to flip property. I see the good price to buy SIA is anything from 3.70 and below. Today I shall queue to buy at 3.68

Here is my suggestion to SIA management:
1) Issue share option to CEO at 3.72.
2) Transfer treasury share to satisfy this option.
3) CEO takes up the option to exercise the share, taking advantage of low price to avoid taxes.
4) SIA takes the payment for its treasury shares and buy back lower price at 3.68 to 3.7 to cancel the shares so as to return value to shareholders
5) CEO has original shares to pledge to take up loan at current low interest rate.
6) CEO takes the risk while averaging his share price

Before you start to short SIA today as you plan, let me suggest this scenario: 1) Treasury Shares were withdrawn from CDP to issue share options for employees 2) During this period, these shares withdrawn from CDP, though has not voting value, can be pledge by SIA to borrow funds  3) The borrowed funds will be used to buy back SIA shares up to 3.70 under share buyback scheme. This in turn return shareholder value. There you have it. SIA shares value is supported at 3.70. Any pice below 3.70 is a steal I shall start buying today. Cheers

But then again 3.66 might be the lowest and today investors just capitulated.
If this is the case we are seeing a real reversal. NOT 3.70
After much thoughts I am really very lost????
I don't know to buy or to sell
My only decision is hold my horses and see the party.
CHEERS 🍻

Over the weekend I spent so much time trying to explain we should hold and not to buy or sell anymore. We were at the precarious price of 3.70. The big boys can play it up to 3.78 or down to 3.62 Yes it chose to play it down, betting that tomorrow retail investers have to seel to them cheaper. We just played into their trap

Whether you are investor, trader, broker or fund manger of banks, we are all here to make profit for living. We all have family and we don' t want to make huge losses. Whatever positions you are now, please square off soon. At this price of 3.70 there is nothing much to gain whether it goes up or down a little, but huge losses if it goes quickly in either directions   |

If we track back SIA share prices since the beginning of 1990' s, it went as high as $19 and down as low as $8. Yahoo' s chart probably had adjusted the price according to buy back' s and dilution over the years. Though SIA is a cyclical stocks, of course it has been on a down trend since the pandemic, it had also been a good divident stock.  I don t really understand the buy backs and issuing of share options, but somehow, there are benefits to the share price. As the share options are issued, eg now at 3.72, it gives an option for directors to buy the share at 3.72 in the future. This means 3.72 is a very good future support. Share buy backs and issue of dividents is another way of paying shareholders. The company can make losses, but can also pledge planes to borrow money. The base pay for its empolyees can be low and payment is via bonuses, which comes from work or through dividents in the case for directors. The company can borrow against its assets and pay its shareholders dividents. Bear in mind Tamesek is a major shareholder and having invested huge amount in SIA, will want some returns. There you are, we have a scheme for SIA shareholders |

While the directors of SIA have to be responsible for its shareholders, I am extremely disappointed with shareholders at CIMB..They did a bullish call at the beginning when the shares were around $4.38, then they have been dumping their share almost every day.
CiMB shareholders contributed to the heaviest selling of SIA shares..Then the other banks like UBS, Morgan Stanley.
Despite brokers calling sell, I hardly bought any shares from local brokers except when it fell from 3.95. That time almost every brokers cut.
Even if shareholders have to sell their shares to raise cash, is it a bit too much when share price is cutting into your cost price?
Do you really want to sell everything?

Good. Now I understand you. For now SIA is only hold. no more buying or selling as the banks just swing the price up and down suka suka. No matter how they do it, they can' t shake any more shares out if we keep still Monday may swing down to 3.62 or may swing up to 3.78. Just ????? |

I kind of agree with you.
Noticed all the directors sold most of their shares before the rights issue.
They profited from shareholders and then received share options now.
This is not correct.
All their employees suffered payout.. but directors though cut pay gained from the sale of their shares.
