If on the other hand short covering was completed at $6.50 before rights annoucements, the the worth of the share would be

($6.50 x 2 + 9 ) 5 = $4.40 per share

But without the rights would be

( $4.40 x 2 + $3 x 3 ) = $3.56

At $6.09 x 2 = $12.18 + 3 rights ( $3 X 3 = $9 ) = $21.18 / 5 = $4.236 per share.

($4.236 X 2 + $3 X 3 ) / 5 = $3.4944

I am just curious.Since the recovery is slow and painful,every quarter will burn 1 billion at least..

1)How they actually sustain cashflow and is it really enough to tide through this pandemic?
2)What they will reward the shareholders in return since these few years are burning money for sure?
3)Why so many shareholders still invest this counter since the next 3-5years definitely no return?

no offense meant at all, but I think it is not normal however for the clarion call for us Singaporeans to buy SIA shares just so in order to be patriotic ! SIA share price is heading down now but that does not mean it is doomed nor does it mean that it need patriotic Singaporeans to part with their monies to save it by buying it' s shares.
