AEM is not partnering with Advantest rather, they are involved in active legal conflict. Advantest filed a patent infringement complaint against AEM in October 2025 regarding wafer-level test systems

AEM partners ASE Technology for AI, high-performance computing chip testing
AEM will also raise S$12 million through a private placement for its Taiwan expansion, integration into ASE&rsquo s operations
[SINGAPORE] Semiconductor equipment maker   AEM   : AWX +8.47% has partnered ASE Technology, one of the world&rsquo s largest semiconductor testing and packaging companies, to develop &ldquo disruptive test solutions&rdquo for artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) markets.

In a press release on Saturday (Mar 21), AEM said the collaboration will combine its proprietary test technologies with ASE&rsquo s manufacturing scale to serve these fast-growing markets.

As part of the partnership, AEM will raise about S$12 million through a private placement of 3.35 million shares at S$3.591 apiece to a wholly owned subsidiary of ASE. This represents around 1.1 per cent of AEM&rsquo s issued share capital.

ASE, which is listed on both the New York Stock Exchange and Taiwan Stock Exchange, will also receive 28.1 million free detachable warrants in two tranches. Each tranche will be tied to revenue-related conditions and convertible into one share.

The exercise price of the first tranche is set at 103 per cent of AEM&rsquo s volume-weighted average price (VWAP). In the second tranche, the exercise price will be 105 per cent of the VWAP.

If fully exercised, AEM said the warrants would expand its current share capital by about 8.9 per cent.

The proceeds from the placement will fund its Taiwan expansion, as well as support the integration of its test technologies into ASE&rsquo s manufacturing and test operations, AEM said.

The group added that the funds will also go towards product development and &ldquo joint go-to-market initiatives&rdquo targeting AI and HPC applications.

AEM said the &ldquo strategic partnership&rdquo will support ASE&rsquo s ISE Labs as well, as the unit expands its capabilities in early-stage testing and validation of AI and HPC chips.

This includes covering &ldquo heterogeneous integration architectures&rdquo , such as multi-chip and system-in-package designs, as well as optical connections used in next-generation computing.

ASE&rsquo s assembly, testing and materials portfolio will strengthen these initiatives, enabling &ldquo production-scale deployment as global demand continues to accelerate&rdquo .

AEM chief executive officer Samer Kabbani said the collaboration represents &ldquo an important step&rdquo in the group&rsquo s strategy to &ldquo work closely with industry leaders to advance the state of AI and HPC testing&rdquo .

&ldquo ASE&rsquo s forward-looking approach and global scale make (this) an ideal partnership as test requirements continue to intensify across advanced compute platforms,&rdquo he noted.

The companies &ldquo aim to develop and deploy next-generation test solutions that help customers improve performance, scalability and time-to-market&rdquo , he added.

Ken Hsiang, CEO of ISE Labs, also said that such efforts are increasingly crucial as compute architectures grow more complex and time-to-production continues to compress.

Just to clarify. The 5 year contracts are electricity supply contracts to Singapore consumers in the open electricity market. Meaning the electricity rates are locked in for the next 5 years and SembCorp will have to absorb the energy cost. Some consumers have signed 10 year contract for example GSK

Top Glove' s FY2025 shows that it has turned around, returning to profitability with a net profit of RM109 million, compared to a net loss of RM64.9 million in FY2024. The full-year revenue surged 39% to RM3.49 billion and sale volume grew 55%.  The US tariffs on Chinese competitors favored them.

The first half of the 2026 financial year (1HFY2026) performance is good as wwell.  Net Profit (PATAMI) surged by approximately 92% to RM69.34 million, up from RM35.76 million in the previous year.

The AFC ratio or the Accrual Free cash ratio is impressive.  The figure is definitely better than FY24,  improved from 1.3% to -0.7% compare to previous years.  This indicates that  TG has had a good quality earning in FY25 compared to last years.

Like the resiliences of the Gold.  Never amaze me on how the Gold price always fighting back whenever there is a dip.  It is likely that Gold will recover slightly today.  If can can recover 5,000 mark,  can say Gold have fully recovered from the fall.

DOW hit the support @ 46,700 last night and retreated.  It formed the 1st morning star candlestick and ready to recover,  It that attempt failed,  it will retest the next very strong support @ 45,000.  Technically speaking,  DOW looks very unhealthy but it has gone so high with investors having so much buffer,  it is very likely that DOW will take off very quickly if there are good news from the Iran War.

It will be good to know that the raw material for manufacturing rubber gloves is    natural rubber latex  which Malaysia has plenty.  TG should not be much affected by hike in oil prices or rather the oil price hike would provide TG  the better competitive edge  over its competitors in China because of the hikes in transportation cost.

Here is an extract from Google AI

AI Overview

natural rubber latex is the primary raw material for traditional rubber gloves, specifically those recognized as " latex gloves" .
Key points about the raw materials for these gloves:
  • Source: The material is derived from the sap of the rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis), which is refined into a concentrate.
  • Composition: Raw latex is a milky liquid that is typically composed of around 60% rubber content (polyisoprene) after processing.
  • Production: To make gloves, this latex is blended with other components, including sulfur (for vulcanization), zinc oxide (an activator), and antioxidants.
  • Alternatives: While natural latex is common, many modern gloves are manufactured from synthetic materials, such as nitrile butadiene rubber (for nitrile gloves) or polyvinyl chloride (for vinyl gloves), to avoid latex allergies.
  • Manufacturing Centers: The majority of rubber gloves are manufactured in Southeast Asia, particularly Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam

Think it is just the public awareness. Also think many retail investors were spooked by TG' s price performance in 2021 and 2022  when the China manufacturers " sapu" all their markets with gloves at cheap and " lelong" price and kept TG high and dry with very poor revenues for 2 years.  Fortunately,  they have a good financial backgrounds to ride over the raining days,
This chart is telling us that now that its revenue has picked up with reasonably good earnings.  The price should not have kept dropping much when it is at the bottom unless there are other good unknown reasons.

TG has had two years of bad time,  In 2022 and 2023,  there was a glut of glove with China manufacturers taking over all their  businesses away after the Covid subsided in China.  They only started to recover in 2024 and 2025 especially after the  tariff war started.  Given time, TG should regain all its power going up as it has a good financial standing.  It now has a quick and current ratio above 2.0 and very low debt,    It just lack 2 thing   expansioin and plenty of publicity.  They were caught unfortunately by the glut of caused by Chinese Manufacturers capturing all the market after the Covid.
