Crude firming. Hope will see catalyst overnight. Upstream companies such as KrisEnergy will get a big boost if crude can finally clear US$55.

x 0 		Somehow, oil trump on wars and accidents. The militants in Libya is attacking the oil port and threaten to disrupt the oil production. So, oil price will spike if the militants succeed. OPEC is nearing 90% compliance in their cut which itself is historical. Need confirmation that non-OPEC are going to stick to their promise as well. Shale while continue to see more rigs being started, the rate is moderating with the latest rising only 2 as reported yesterday.

Still, I rather see KrisEnergy giving any progress update on their Cambodia Block A oil field. That's a big one and they have been working on it since 2012. It is about time to see some oil !

Oil recovered. Monday shortists will scramble to cover...reports also show that the last time oil traded in such a narrow range, it surged up eventually. Lets wait and see

Keppel is still surging but KrisEnergy is still stucked at 0.196. Impairment today is much more forgivable and also help position for subsequent years growth story. If not for the impairment, KrisEnergy would have been seen to have announced a good turnaround story with good revenue and profit growth.

I'm sure they can sell oil at significantly more this year than the ave of US$30 that they sold for FY16.

Investing.com - Saudi Arabia wants crude oil to rise to about $60 a barrel in 2017, Reuters quoted OPEC and industry sources as saying.
Saudi Arabia and its Gulf allies view this price would spur fresh investment without incurring a spike in U.S. shale output, the sources said.
OPEC officially holds that the cartel is not seeking a specific price for oil.
OPEC and non-OPEC producers are implementing cuts of 1.8 mn b/d in the first half of this year to address a supply glut.
There has been talk of an extension of the cuts beyond the six-month frame depending on the path for oil prices.
Enhanced technology has made U.S. shale extraction viable at lower price levels.
Baker Hughes data showed the number of rigs operating in the U.S. in the latest week rose by five to 602.
That was the highest count since October 2015.
U.S. crude was up 0.02% at $54.06 at 03:00 ET.

x 0 		How will Loyz announcement of placement of shares to pare down debt and hence gearing and improve its financial position ? The unusually part of the placement is that it will be done at 0.26 near current trader price of 0.27. Usually placement are made at hefty discount to current traded price to make it attractive.
